Gidan had an almost shaved head when we started dating, but now he isnt doing kung fu so he has no need to shave his head anymore, and he's just gotten lazy.

I dated a skiiiiiinny drummer in high school. Bald head. That was so damn hot.

Shaved heads are quite acceptable, especially in older men.

WTF How do you know an entire cross section of people who ALL have Alopecia? Isn't it kinda rare?

balding = not sexy

shaved head = sexy

When I was 18 or 19, I made a pact with a friend, that as soon as I noticed my hair thinning (it runs in the family) that I would shave my head

that way I could always tell people it was by choice, rather than inevitable

that being said, it's a bit odd at first, but now, there's nothing nicer than a freshly bic'd head

I am MUCH less self conscious about how it looks compared to when I had hair

since I've started shaving, I've had probably 3 dozen women comment on how they liked the look of my head

I NEVER EVER had a woman come up and tell me she liked my hair back in the day~

(granted I could have had shitty hair all the time, but it was actually pretty ok)

My husbands hair was receding pretty good when I met him, it didn't bother me a bit. he has gorgeous blue eyes and a smile that won me from the start. He on the other hand was very self concious about his hair loss. he had a bunch of hair tonics and shit he used.... what a waste of time and money.

Now the comb over.... THAT'S a hot look.

Oh wait, you dont have a weirdly shaped head, do you? If so, then I'd invest in a toupe. They look bad, but it will cover any skull deformity :)

My aunt has it mildly.
Close friend of mine from high school has it the worst... he looked fucking horrible before he shaved his head.
Guy that my boss knows from high school who I tutored in using computers has it.

I'd never heard of it until my friend started losing patches of hair and I was like wtf dude while we were living together going to college. I think it is a more common ailment than people realize.

Diek - I have put up with some pretty fucked up hair from the guys I dated when I was younger. One boyfriend used to buzz his head really close and leave his fucking bangs. o_0

However, I have been with Aryylas for going on 5 years now, so I haven't been accepting any dates bald or not.

When I started dating Aryylas he had long hair, now we buzz it close to his head. I like it both ways.

Diekan, I was going to tell you that I thought you had the perfect face structure for a bald head, but oyu told me to do a barrell ride at Niagara Falls. Now I hate you.

For some men, it just works. I've always thought the actor Ed Harris was a very good looking man, and his hair is receeding. Shaving your head, or at least getting a very short haircut is definately the way to go.

Of all the things that could go wrong with my body as I get older, going bald is like number 0 on my list of worries.

Lucky for you that it's the steel pins that ache and not your knee.

Have you ever entertained the thought that women don't date you not because of your hair but because of your personality, looks (other than hair) or income bracket? Not making any assumptions cuz I don't know you that well but those are possibilities.

You should go back and re-read what I said - and not skim over it.

I said I JUST shaved it off a couple of weeks ago. I haven't been out "meeting" anyone yet. I've been to busy with work as of late. I'm predicting a sting of shitty luck now going by what I've seen of the people I know who also have shaved heads. That and I know better than take a woman's opinion on issues like this. If the majority of women say it doesn't matter - the first thought in my mind is "oh fuck this is going to suck."

I have no problem getting dates or laid - well I haven't yet. We'll see how it goes now that I have no hair.

You shouldnt have any problems.

BUT if you go out with your shitty ass attitude of "oh man, i'm 'bald' so this is going to suck picking up women" then it most certainly will. Your inner confidence will be shown through your outter. And I must say, no self confidence is unattractive, no matter your hair, outter looks or income status. Be confident!

Bald is beautiful, baby!

Diekan, I'd suggest just being cool with yourself and it'll all work out.

Quit trying to out-think women and just be yourself. Confidence is always the biggest attraction women have towards men, not what some cologne commercial or Maxim magazine tells you.

*rant alert*
By the way, fuck Maxim. Do I need to pay to read "what men really want"? Or to get advertisements that I should color my hair with "coloring for men"? Call it what you want, but stamping "for men" on shit isn't going to make me see it any differently than the shit right next to it, made of the same shit, for women.
I know what I want without buying a magazine with close up pictorials on how to eat out a chick properly. Fucking hell. Have an actual woman teach you. I'm starting to think that men are becoming more like women every day, which is exactly what women don't want. Be a man, be confident in yourself, set goals for yourself and achieve them. Focus on that, not your hair, scent, and fingernails.

Walk into a bar with a confident step, an unassuming attitude, and a healthy physique and you'll get women. Bald or not.
