Just to add my 2 cents: I'm with Sorina in this thread. So far, she's made her case and responded to every post against her. Most of which, I should add, lacked content and were merely sniping at her. As she put it, if you've got something real to say, then say it. Let's not 'Mindia' the thread with and other non-words.

The election was democracy in action. Sorry it went against US interests, but maybe Hamas will actually turn it around. I sure hope so, and I'm waiting to see what happens.

I actually expect something rather like this to happen in Iraq as soon as real elections are held. Shiite faction with close ties to Iran gets elected, and the first act of the new government will be to tell the US to get the fuck out of the country. Gonna be REAL curious to see Bush's reaction when that happens.

Except that won't happen, since the Shi'ite's in Iraq are Arabs, and the ones in Iran are not. Also, there are a lot of differences between the two groups besides just cultural.

Sorina's writing reminds me of that episode of Friends when Joey has to write a letter of reccomendation, and he uses a thesaurus to look up every word, and even though the words sound smart, the letter sounds really stupid.
