I heard that in Boston during rush hour the roads turn into one way where usually they are two way.

That is true~ Very confusing for your first few stays in Boston.

I stayed a week there and I finally got the hang of it. I love Boston.

Boston drivers are the worst and scariest drivers I've ever seen, anywhere. That includes San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago & New York City. Hell, I was on the T and was worried about a random car hitting me. (ok, not really, but it was close!). Boston's a great town, don't get me wrong, but drivers there are clueless, insane or both.

This happens on some roads near downtown Dallas.

You guys complaining about drivers in the States cracks me up. You should see how people drive here, or in China, or even worse India.

Malaysia isn't that bad compared to other Asian countries, but it's still pretty crazy for someone coming directly from the States. After all, if you get busted by the cops it's usually only a $13 bribe. No biggy~

Heh, friend of mine who spent 6 months teaching English in China told me about the insane chinese bus drivers. Driving insanely fast in rattly old busses, literally leaning around corners on mountain roads with no guardrails.

I've actually watched a bus in China literally push a car out of its' way. Driving in China is crazy, but it still can't compare to India.

Honking horns is so normal in India that I specifically remember our driver honking the horn while we were way out of the city with absolutely nothing around us. I was getting incredibly annoyed...

I am not sure how it's spelled. Chongqing maybe, or something along those lines. Coal mining town with a killer atmospheric inversion layer that trapped coal dust and pollution right on top of the town. Think a bad smog day in Los Angeles x 100. He said the worst day in LA was far far better than the average day there, and that he'd complain WAY less about air quality here in the US ever again. rofl.

He had to learn Mandarin for the job, and I've seen him surprsie the hell out of workers at chinese restaurants, when this big tall white guy starts talking to them in fluent chinese.

I can't remember how the spell it, but I know which city you're talking about.

When I first moved to Asia I was in Tianjing, China. It's an extremely pollouted industrial port city. Moving from Tianjing to Penang, Malaysia was literally moving to Paradise for me at the time.
