I don't see Kobe and AI being able to co-exist. Kobe's already proven he couldn't deal with having any sort of other alpha-dog in the same kennel, with how he ran off Shaq. AI strikes me very much as the alpha-dog type. I think he and Kobe would butt heads from day 1.

As for Minnesota... Obviously I don't know all that much, but every rumor I've seen out there pretty much says that if anything, Minnesota will move KG somewhere, not that they'd add in AI. Hell, I've seen more than one rumor story about KG going to the Lakers, not AI, and honestly, I think I could see that working better.

The reason I said the Suns, is because I think a point guard like Nash could distribute the ball well enough to actually keep 3 other big-time scorers happy, and that he'd be willing to sacrifice his own scoring numbers to make it happen.

Based on that criteria, I could almost see a trade to the nets possibly working, but I'd be willing to bet that Vince Carter would be a LOT more whiny about losing some of his numbers than Amare or Marion would be. Not to mention, the chances of Philly dealing AI to someone in the same conference are much much lower than they'd be to deal him outside.

The problem with anyone improving the suns is their cap... Nash is fucking expensive... Amare has 1 year left and they aren't going to let him go anywhere. Marion has 2 years left and he's a huge bargain... same deal. They don't want to sign the 3rd most expensive player in the league (Iverson) unless they can SERIOUSLY free up some room. If they could get rid of their other 'needlessly' expensive contracts like Kurt Thomas at something like $9million and Barbosa at $5m. Iverson would be SCARY under D'Antoni... AI is 'still' the fastest player in the league, and D'Antoni coaches the fastest (and dumbest) system in the league... it'd be a really interesting system. I just don't see it happening.

Garnett doesn't have to be top-dog. I could totally see him playing with anyone... ANY of the monster egos... Kobe, Iverson, T-Mac, Shaq... he'd take a backseat to any of them. The reason why so many trade rumors involved KG and AI were because of KGs compatibility with someone like AI. The problem with moving AI is in finding a compatible team. His personailty and playstyle wouldn't fit for most any playoff team in the West... maybe Denver...

He's hall-of-fame, clearly... I'd love to see him traded... this off-season is going to be boring unless something big happens.

The Mav's struggling to hit shots has nothing to do with the Suns failing to score over 100 and still win (first time they've done that this whole post-season). Our defense was fine (for the most part)... we just couldn't score for shit. D'Antoni has nothing to do with that since he couldn't spell defense if you spotted him 6 letters.

What the hell are you talking about Lyion? Dallas is 'hanging on'? We are dominating this series, hence 3-2. We've only allowed them to play 'phoenix' ball in 'one' game, game 1... and we barely lost that. If Josh Howard hadn't gone down early in the first, we possibly could have won it. We turned it around and controlled the floor in games 2 and 3, played OUR game and won OUR way. Even in the game 4 blowout, Phoenix was still struggling with their fast breaks (their bread and butter) and our defense wasn't completely destroyed. We just couldn't make shots. How the hell can you watch a dismantling like last night's victory and say that Dallas appears to be 'hanging on'? We led the entire fucking game (they took a 1 point lead ONCE in the 3rd). We controlled their fast break, controlled their points in the paint, controlled everything but their 3p shooters... but we'll live with outside jump shooters beating us ANY day of the week.

Dirk isn't just the best player in the series, he's been the best player in the post-season. Wade might make a case against that but he'd lose.

Seriously though. The spurs had no business winning 3 straight against the obviously better mav's team. Officiating pulled it to 7 games, but then they backed off in game 7, so that the better team in the series (Mavs) would win.

Thats how it's been in every series so far this postseason.

There is a pretty big congregation among Dallas fans that are pissed at Nash because of this idea. See, they think that Nash 'turned up' a notch when he left Dallas... became a different beast in Phoenix. He had a chip on his shoulder, to prove Cuban wrong... to prove that he's not an injured, slow, aging, greasy Canuck (meh, can't win them all)... and he turned up his intensity. They (we?) think that he never played 'so hard' in Dallas and doubt that he ever would have. A lot of those fans fail to see the faster-NBA rules changes that ALSO occurred that year... whether or not those were all that it took to take Nash from a 'top 3' point-guard to back-to-back MVP point-guard status... who knows? The point is, 'something' happened and Nash freaked out. We never saw that in Dallas and there is a lot of doubt that we ever would have. We love to what-if day-dream though... what if Cuban had landed the Finley+++ for Shaq trade? Dirk+Shaq+Nash? Next 6 year dynasty?

(1) We moved Antwan Jamison to Washington to get their low pick in order to draft a rookie guard to replace Nash... we also picked up Christian Laettner and Jerry Stackhouse with that pick. That pick got us Devin Harris.

(2) We moved Antoine Walker to Atlanta to get Jason Terry and Alan Henderson. We then moved Henderson and Calvin Booth to Milwaukee to get Kieth Van Horn.

(3) We moved Edward Najera and Christian Laettner(1) to Golden State to get Erick Dampier, Evan Eschmeyer and Dan Dickau and 2 draft picks.

(4) We waived Evan Eschmeyer & Dan Dickau because they suck ass

So... Nash staying in Dallas would mean
no Stackhouse, Harris, Terry, Dampier, Van Horn and we'd probably still have Jamison and MOST LIKELY Shawn Bradley.
