And Advina. You claimed that the "majority" of those cards are being abused. You have proof that it's the majority, or is this all about a minority that makes for great headlines?

There was an article when I posted that and it broke down how they were being spent, a good solid amount were being abused. I don't know if I can find it again.

Honestly I still think the cards were a good thing to do, if they even help one family out its worth it in my eyes anyway.

I'm going to have to disagree with this one. Towns I have lived in, here in Cali have been literally overrun with Mexicans (like Kizzy lol j/k) and turned from great little beach towns into complete ghettos. The people who live in the ghettos make them shitty, not us, or the government or anyone else.

I know a bunch of people who lived in small, poorly built buildings that would make project buildings look like penthouse apartments. They are clean and inhabitited by some of this country's finest citizens. Where? The US Naval Academy in Maryland. It's the people not the place.

I had a job offer from the Oakland Housing Authority in 1994, which is a branch of the Oakland Police Department. They patrolled the most ghetto area of West Oakland called, "The Acorn Projects." My parents begged me not to take the job. lolz

yep... any community no matter how poor can make life liveable if they desire and can greatly improve the area they live in. Its the people not the place.

Don't think for one second I am defending these people.

I am just pointing that out...

When people in the ghetto steal, they're completely fucking over their community. No sane person will run a meaningful business in an area where stealing and violence is commonplace - and that means very few job options and shitty education are the norm.
