Motorola H700 wireless headset is what I use. All I have to do to make a call is tap the ear piece (like a Star Trek TNG comm badge) and say "Call Someone" then say the name of who I want to call. The whole time I can pay complete attention to the road.

It is not so much that you are only using one hand to steer, it's the distraction of the phone call. If you're on the cell phone your thought process is more on the conversation than whats going on around you. You end up driving more out of instinct instead of concentrating on every turn, road sign or any hazards.

I have been on the cell and found myself at home not remembering how I got there. Kind of like driving drunk!

You say that like the avg person actually is concentrating on driving. Most people I know think about everything but. Next time you’re driving take a look around. You will see people heated conversations, singing like they are on stage, reading, shaving (even women shaving their legs, truth I tell you), changing their clothes, eating something that shouldn't be attempted in a car and so on. Cell phones are not the worst of it; it’s just the target of the day.

I thought about that while I was typing my comment. I wasn't leaving those instances out, I was just focusing on what cell phones can do to your driving ability. The average driver is a retard, with or without distractions.

I remember my dad was pwnz at driving, I remember he used to read a magazine or newspaper or something while he was driving. He would just get it and open it up and just look at the road every 2 sec's or so going like 70. He hasn't gotten in a crash in like 17 years and that was because a bus driver was drunk and he hit my dads blazer with his bus......

P.S. He also hit some made another little chain reaction in which he hit an suv and then it hit something else, that then hit the bus and caused it to flip over and killed all the 40 some people on it......so yes drunk driving is really bad.
