NT is dead...do us a favor and name your board something new

The Nameless is dead, as is that whole game. But last I checked, there are still quite a few regular posters, which means Nameless Tavern is,indeed, not dead.
We will call this board Nameless Tavern. We will keep it on .net so noone has to change their bookmarks. We will probably just keep the banner up top, since it is familiar to everyone.
I'll repeat myself, if you think the board is dead or if you feel your "loyalty" lies with the "old" board, which btw would be ezboard, feel free to go back...dont post here. Stop shitting up our threads, our board.

If it is going to make no difference to us, and the big difference is going to be easier maintenance and a new look, I really don't think any of us care. Of course we want Admins and Mods jobs to be easier, thta way the good ones don't burn out and leave us.

How about everyone just come over to the NT section on the animeonline board? link =p Sure, it's "anime crap" but... it's already setup and we are going to be adding an amazing amount of content to it all the time. Not really trying to push this, because I totally know all the reasons why I'd want to have a separate board... I'm just saying... it's free, and it really is a nice deal if ya'll are interested. Triel, Forik, 10sun, Eldred and Harrison are already there and they seem to like it. Hell, I already hooked them up with free DVDs.

But yeah... seriously, I'm not REALLY trying to push this... Just thought I'd throw it out there.

And just for the record, I'm totally cool with the idea of a new board. When I left it, the board had a shitload of problems... either Gidan/Lyion/Martrae fixed the majority of them, or they've ignored them... but either way, the version is so out of date that upgrading would be impossible. I made SO many modifications that it would definitely be impossible to keep things the same. So, yeah... go for it. Gets my vote, totally.

Gid wants to try and keep it as close to what we have now, as people seem to be happy with it. We'll get rid of some of the bloat and add a couple fun things if we find them. But you did a good job sir, so we are going to try and replicate <3

do I have to watch anime if i sign up? because I don't own any. though I have enjoyed what I've watched.

By the way, someone should make a version of the NT called NT-Lite or something for browsing when you don't want to deal with everybody's retarded sigs, avatars, & emoticons.

Maybe Gid can make something like that, text only and such. It will at least give him something to do during downtime even it if never pans out.

Its an interesting idea though would probably take a bit of effort on my side to get up and running. I will see what I can do with it and you never know I might find a really simple solution to that.

Perhaps just a Theme would work? or maybe a set user group that disables the viewing of images?

Why not use the firefox add on that blocks images?

I was thinking more optimized for mobile / dialup browsing.

The board would be better if you could log back in after getting logged off. . .

I may be able to just create a new template exactly like the one that is on here that just doesn't display the avatar and sigs. Would need to really work on it to not display pictures though.
