The people who tend to rush to its defense the quickest, and argue the loudest about how it "doesn't harm them" are typically the people who irritate the shit out of me and make me thankful every day that I am above the influence. It always makes me laugh when they insist it has no negative effect on them. Obviously you can't see your own behavior clearly, then.
Unless maybe it's coincidence that everyone who rushes to the defense of marijuana also just happens to be a douche bag. I guess that's a possibility.

People above the influence just do not have tolerance for anyone that isn't under the level of influence..and I understand why.
because said people indeed do not think clearly, or see their own behavior clearly, they generally have no idea what they're talking about or doing, but in addition to that, they do not care.
the intolerance comes not necessarily with the fact that the person has chosen to be under the influence, but rather that they do not have any concern that their behavior has been affected at all. They simply do not have any regard for your opinion of them, or what it is that they are doing.
I am reminded of the stoner kid in the movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Honestly, haha...if you watch you'll see how many times the teacher gets SO ANGRY with him that he does everything he possibly can to discipline him, but nothing works. The stoner kid DOES NOT CARE. He doesn't not care on purpose..he just doesn't let anything effect him.
Stoners are quality people in that way. they say, "whatever." There's something invaluable about that. At the same time, it's really sad, because they end up pissing people off with their attitude which ultimately turns into laziness and apathy.
So who's problem is it really then?

So, I take it you don't drink, don't smoke, don't take any medication of any kind, right? You don't use birth control pills or any of that either, right?
I enjoy the hypocracy of folks that post offensivly of a topic they know nothing about, yet enjoy the benefits of their "legal" mind altering drugs.
I am in a very similiar situation as Ginz is in, just older is all
. Just for Maeya I'm going to let my staff go home at 4:00 today so I can toke down at 4:20 when I get home

Why thank you. I actually was unaware you considered me to be a douche bag. I mean, I argued with ugz plenty, but I don't remember ever having a fight with YOU. But thank you, now I know exactly where I stand with you and can start delivering the proper levels of sarcasm and scorn your way.

I say intolerance works both ways on both ends of the spectrum.
I used to be on one far end when I was younger.
Then I grew up and experienced things for myself and made MY OWN judgments about them.
I smoke once or twice a year tops for the fuck of it, I've done Psilocybin Mushrooms a few times, Acid(LSD or Lysergic acid) once, Ketamine once, every "medium" painkiller commonly out there (prescribed to me), Adderall (amphetamine salts), Klonopins a few, Xanax, other benzodiazepines, etc.
Essentially I would say I've done a small portion of what most party-going males in their 20s have.
I still haven't done cocaine, heroin, opium, Oxycontin, etc. and I don't plan on it. I see what these do to people and as strong of will I believe myself to be, I don't want to take that risk. I put those FAR above what I am willing to "try for myself".
The only thing I continue to do "regularly" is drink about once or twice a month now. (obviously a somewhat recent change for me. Getting "deathly ill" changes your perspectives on some shit) To some of you, if not most, that list looks rather large. I am proud to say that I did them and never continued to do them on a regular basis like everyone else I know. I did them and walked away no problem.
I've gone from hardcore anti-drug in every form to "make your own choices" just don't fuck anyone else up with yourself if you so choose to suck at life.

That's probably true, Toss. Actually my sister recently admitted to me she smokes, which disappointed me greatly. The people who really bother me though, are the "Spazzes", the ones who will scream as loud as they can to their dying breath that it doesn't "hurt" them, when just trying to decipher their verbal diarrhea makes me want to claw my own eyes out. I blame that on pot, but who knows? It could really be just *him*. It just seems to be a trend, you know?
It's an intolerance I have, but I'm not apologetic for it. I don't *hate* people who choose to do drugs, and I certainly don't hate Tossica (I'm very envious of his beautiful fish tank).
And thank you, Mindia
You're very kind.

Umm...so how is someone who smokes pot suppose to react to this statement:
All companies should institute random drug tests (including yours) and fire anybody who tests positive for THC. That's what this country needs. Fire all the dope-smokin retards and get straight people in the workplace.
So if we defend ourselves and disagree with what Mindia is saying we are "screaming as loud as we can until our dying breath" and it "bothers you"?
I just call it standing up for what I believe in.

The water is used to filter out the tars and the harmful solids in the smoke. Know how a cigarette filter turns all yellow from the tar in the tobacco? Water's an even better filter for that than the cellulose in cigarettes is. So, unless you have a habit for snacking on cigarette butts for their nicotene content, you're not going to be drinking bong water for anything. Seriously, it's not a consumable product; you flush the water (and any trapped particulate matter) away moderately frequently, and refil with fresh water.
