How? There will be people who will continue to pay for both (me likely) and they'll also draw in more people who don't like the 'fantasy' type of MMO's. They won't "lose" any subscriptions, only gain more.

like the other responses i responded to? i left you one way out and you took it, though, so at least you're making progress

and i'm sure the dedicated will stay on WoW, just like eq1 vs. eq2. they'll coexist and starcraft will just get a few million more people addicted to MMOs

Blizzard is too smart not to leverage WOW. I can see 20 bucks a month to subscribe to both, with the same account and hourly fee for their Asian subscribers, which really are 80% of WOWs population.

is it even worth getting into at this point? i mean, is it still endearing? it was like 4gb and it took a couple hours to download the patch on cable and this is just for the trial version. if i get into the real game i don't want to end up spending more time installing it than i will playing it. and i dunno if taxx would swallow his ego to teach me how to play but if so that'd be good

Like I tried to tell you, you played WoW more than I do/did. You don't need to log on much to raid 3 nights a week.

Yeah because I totally want to spend what little time I am online teaching a person I don't even like how to play a game.

Probably. I enjoyed my time playing WOW. You do have to admit you come across as a bit of a Blizzard advocate. You aren't a fanbois, though. That was just me having fun.

Drem, Taxx's ingame persona is far different from his board one. He's a good guy to game with. Just be careful, though, because he does have the same temper and holds a grudge. :locked:

Taxx, the WOW learning curve is about 15 minutes. I doubt Drem would have any trouble getting into a game that is a clone of the one he played for 6+ years.

I'm an advocate to any company, gaming related or not, that puts out quality shit that I like or enjoy. Blizz hasn't fucked me over yet so sure I'll support anything they put out.

Drem acts like WoW is tough to learn.

I'm a bit ..torn to say the least

Starcraft is such a great game, without a doubt THE best RTS game ever produced; the godlike balance and constant "evolution" put into the game through new maps will be REALLY hard for any other game to match, even a new game made by the same company.

Hopefully Starcraft is going to unite all of the sc and war3 players, and create an even larger and more interesting progaming scene - it has unlimited potential, but unfortunately it WILL require a near flawless game, else there's a big risk that both the sc and war3 scenes die without a new place for the players to gather.

I'll certainly buy it when it gets released, and until then I'm just hoping for the best.

what would you rather play? C&C? that game blows dick except red alert and that barely passes off as all right

i know you say SC is an RTS for asians and newbs but i don't think you've ever said why, other than "you can just build an army of the same unit and win." which you can't

my fav is total annihilation

You should know by now that Harrison hates any game that he gets his ass kicked at.

 The game was pure, overrated garbage. I stopped playing it after a few months of boredom. There were infinitely more fun games on the market for me to play.

Dawn of War is out currently and is great fun.

I have no interest in RTS games anymore, though. I'd prefer they made an SC MMO.
