Simmons' suggestion of trading Kobe to Phoenix is amusing. Can you imagine how many points Kobe could get with Nash getting him the ball?

I doubt LA gives him to a conference rival.

Good lord, there is a lot of talk on the radio right now about Kobe in Dallas. Josh Howard (wtf!?) + Jason Terry + Mo Ager for Kobe. Apparently, there is no way any team could get near that offer, and the idea of Kobe+Dirk+Harris is really tempting. I say, fuck that... holy crap that would suck so bad. Avery would probably retire... that's GUTTING his team.

Anyway, Kobe said last night that he loves his team and doesn't want to leave... it was almost certainly 'scare' tactics... get Mitch and Buss to seriously look at their shitty team and get some help stat.

He played well with Melo this year - they totally blew it when it came playoff time sure, but I certainly don't see where anyone could say they didn't do well together

Ya right, Cuban is too busy making his XFL teams.

I'm convinced he's losing it.

That tends to happen when you recruit out of the geriatric ward.

I'll be shocked when he only plays 60 games next year.

HAHAH Kobe BACK on the trading block.

Let's recap
-Source claims Kobe asked to be traded.
-Kobe vehemently denies he said this. But claims management is a mess.
-Lakers organization tells media that "Kobe got us into this mess" with the Shaq thing.
-Kobe freaks out and demands a trade on the radio.
-Kobe speaks with Phil Jackson and he feels appeased and retracts his trade request.
-One day goes by and he wants to be traded again.

This is truly hilarious. I hope he gets traded. I never really liked rooting for LA but I think he's the best player in the NBA and has been for some time, only Duncan is debatably better.

The Warriors should get him. With Nelson's system he can shoot as much as he like and nobody will give him craps about it.

The chances of Kobe being traded anywhere is slim.
The chances of Kobe being traded to a western team are VERY slim.
The chances of Kobe being traded to a Pacific team are 0.

He's not going anywhere... The most likely scenario is something like, Thomas give L.A. Starbury, David Lee, Channing Frye and some sick expiring contracts and the Knicks win +2 games this year.

I think Kobe could win the Atlantic on his own even with NYs garbage team.

Kobe wanted to be with Kidd, maybe the nets use a sign & trade with VC as the centerpiece of a package for Kobe?

I was thinking of that earlier today, Arlos. I think that would be a worst case scenario for me.

NJ would obviously have to add some to the deal and most likely take Radmanovic back, but it could happen.

Of all of the scenarios I've heard bandied about, that one seems to make the most sense. I mean, LA gets someone who is at least mostly a superstar, and get Kobe out of the conference entirely. He gets his wish to play in a big market, on a team with a realistic shot, especially if they don't have to give up Jefferson in the trade. I can just imagine how much Kidd would bust his ass for that ring if he got Kobe in there.

I guess the Chicago idea has some merit, but I dunno, I don't think Kobe would want to go live in MJ's shadow 24x7. And he would in Chicago, no doubt whatsoever, unless he brought the Bulls another set of 3-peats.

I can see why you think it's worst case for you though. No way in hell would Raptors win that division if Kobe were in NJ.
