" Selling my Warhammer Online Beta code-The code has never been registered and it will reserve a spot for you in the Warhammer Online beta test. This is good because when you register it you can start fresh and choose your own acct names, email, etc"

Sounds like Lyion owes someone an apology.

Keep the $500.

Selling the beta was lame to begin with but I don't think anyone was "scammed".

Wtf is so lame about selling the beta? I don't understand. If someone offered me $500 for a beta key I'd be fucking stupid not to take it. :dunno:

I don't understand it either Ginz. I guess there are people out there willing to pay just to have bragging rights or the experience in beta before game launch.

Well.. honestly, if noone was gonna buy it, I was gonna just give it to one of you guys. I probably can give the guy back his money and ask if there's a way for me to have his account, change the info on it or whatever so that when it does I can just give it to someone. :dunno: I'll let let you guys know.

Don't refund the cash! If your ad was all legit and descriptive of the situation, that money is rightfully yours! His/Her buyers remorse is not your problem, providing your ad was honest! keep the cash and if you don't want to keep it, god dammit send it to me.

Jennay wrote:Jeesh Lyion- sorry it bothers you so much. And no, I didn't intentionally lie or scam him. I didn't auction it in Ebay afterall or sell it to anyone here. I sold it in a different gaming forum and my auction was like this:
" Selling my Warhammer Online Beta code-The code has never been registered and it will reserve a spot for you in the Warhammer Online beta test. This is good because when you register it you can start fresh and choose your own acct names, email, etc"

Then I linked a picture of the card , front and back, that I received.

Then we talked about it on AIM about how they take you in at intervals and he knew that, stating he's done beta testing before.

The buyer is just getting anxious because they haven't called him in yet and wants either his money back or to work out a deal of sorts.

He decided it was worth $500 to skip past application and get into the queue to test. Noone forced him.

For what its worth, I'm not a bad person and I'll most likely give him the full refund because if I were in his shoes I'd want one too. That doesn't make me a scammer. If I was a lier and scammer I'd not be communicating with him at all - but thanks for making me feel like shit.

If that's the case, I apologize and you didn't scam him. However, the initial impression you gave coupled with what you describe as his reaction paints a picture like something was wrong. Plus, I solely had your initial post to go by. It was not accurate.

If he know the scoop, why is he trying to get his money back? Do you have a link to the auction page, Jennay?

I have no qualms with buying or selling accounts, although I think it's lame, but I just don't like ripoffs. I know some of you revel in Schadenfreude , but forgive me if I'm not one of you.

I still don't understand why you guys think its lame.

I sold my rogue on WoW for $500 because I was never going to play him again. Why close an account forever and just let it rot when you can make money to put towards something else. :dunno:

Selling an account is one thing, selling a BETA that you got for free, have no time or money put in to is lame. Give it away if you don't want it.

that's pretty much it

it's kinda the same thing as the folks who rush out and buy the new console first day then toss it on ebay for double the price

Obviously I did work at one point in time. Are you really that dumb? I hope you didn't pass that on to the spawn of your failed marriage.

You held a job for a few months last year sometime yet somehow managed to support not only yourself but your deadbeat dad, your sister and all her kids, pay the mortgage on your house, buy a car, bike across the country on your schwinn, buy a guitar and STILL had enough savings to pay for school? Wow. You must be pulling down some serious cash during your "work season".

I worked more than just a few months last year.

If you don't know what you're talking about just shut up. I haven't had to support my sister and her kids since 2004.

His excuse is "working on the house."

The amount of time it took him to build a room upstairs for my sister I could have halved it easily while I was still working 10-12 hours a day sick.

It's Taxachussets. He probably makes more collecting dinero from the state then he would working.

Bleeding heart fuckstate.

I wouldn't give the guy the cash back. Do you have the logs from your IM conversation? Even if you don't, the auction states clearly that it reserves you a spot. It's his own fault for paying that much for a beta slot.

I don't collect anything from the state.
