Who in their right mind would want that? I would go insane if I had someone who needed to be around me 24/7 and who didn't have a life of her own. I expect her to have and live her own life. I expect her to have her own set of friends and interests. Who knows if I've ever had someone thinking about me ALL the time. That's her business.

The difference is that when I *use* someone I don't make promises. I pretty much tell them up front that "this is going to be casual and I am not looking to settle down." They know up front that it's, more or less, just about the sex. For women, however, they aren't so honest. They'll string you along, telling you things that lead you to believe they want much more. They'll *do* things that lead you to believe that you're *the one* for them. Then out of the blue - in an instant - they shut if off and move on.

Of all the people on this board - Araby is the LAST person who should be taking pop shots and *LOL'ing* at someone else's relationship issues.

It's not a simple yes/no question because I didn't want to spend ALL my time with any chicks I've dated, nor would I want the chick I'm dating to think about me ALL the time. My family and friends also saw a lot of me even when I was dating. I futhermore agree with Diekan that chicks will string guys along instead of being upfront with them.

lmao. Araby, I don't know where to start with my response. I guess I'll start in the center and work my way out... Do you know anybody who needs to spend 24/7/365 with their partner, or thinks about them constantly? That's not realistic. I'd want the girl I'm dating to spend time with family and friends, and enjoy alone time. Just because I treat women great, and do a lot for them doesn't mean I spend every waking moment with them or think about them constantly. But guys have certain reasonable expectations of their girlfriend/wife. Some of those expectations are that they are shown appreciation, respect, and love by their woman. Most of the women I've met lately are game-players and manipulators. They have mastered the art of manipulating men to get what they want. As soon as they are met with some resistance, they kick you to the curb, and then start manipulating the next sucker that comes along and falls in love with them.

Women are becoming more and more materialistic too. That's an absolute fact. Single women would like to have the guy that looks like Brad Pitt, OR has a chiseled/sculpted body, OR makes $100k/yr, even if he's an ass to her. Average-looking to above-average-looking men who are height-to-weight proportionate, work hard, earn a middle-class income, have a heart of gold, and drive a modest car don't stand a chance nowadays. It's sad that in order to impress a girl you have to buy a BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes, or be a Mr. America, or be a homeowner. You can deny it all you want, but deep down inside you know I'm right.

The only reason I intentionally overlooked the rebound aspect is because of the timing. The separated over a year ago... *Most* people are usually over each other after a few months, let alone an entire year.
