It's nice this is the biggest thing they can dig up on Huck

It's funny considering you were first in line with your pitchfork for Dean in the last elections because he was demonstrated a little enthusiasm.

I guess people can make mountains out of all kinds of molehills.

Actually, I liked Dean, although given you are left of Castro you probably didn't see this. I did lolzer at his scream, but, it was kinda hard not to.

You still think Kucinich is the best candidate, Zan?

How about the worldwide scientific community keeps researching until a cure is a found. That's a much better plan.

how about both at the same time?

:umno: Isolationism isn't the answer. You must enjoy living in an archaic, dictatorial, third-world eastern bloc country mindset. /pass

it keeps an uncurable virus/disease from spreading

look at a place like south africa

Uh, well obviously it wouldn't since there aren't really any observable telltale signs of HIV infection in people. The people transmitting it don't know they have it. The only people that COULD be isolated are those with the diagnosis, and for the most part those people aren't running around having unprotected sex with anyone unless they're sociopaths.

actually, a high level of aids ina society has to do with people NOT getting tested.... ignorance is no excuse. in south africa you are dealing with lots of factors, one in which the government is thought to have created the aids epidemic.... has more to do with dangerous social beliefs more than poor ignorant people carrying around aids

Its the disease of the queers!@!#!#!#! OMgz!! didnt you guys know that??!?

Isnt that what the Tools from that god Hates Fags church or whatever they are out in Kansas say?

I bet theyll never find a cure. The government will put funding to completely fucking stupid shit before something that really needs to be solved. Sad but true. Or hell, maybe they already to have a cure, and they just wont release it because they make so much money off of therapy and treatments now for it!

I'm actually probably in the vast minority, but I don't think AIDS/hiv actually needs a cure

if you keep positives from spreading it, it goes away in 1 generation

In America or Canada, yes, but even so people will still be stupid and keep spreading it. It's why we still get 40k cases per year in America, despite the truth of what you say.

The problem is in the dirt poor third world countries where there is no test, no education, and honestly their position on Mazlow's hierarchy of needs is such that many don't care about it.

well, what happens there is that in 3-5 generations they all have it, and 2 generations later, there's new land open for colonization

That shouldn't make me laugh, really, but it did. lolzer.

We do have a large population here who is being kept down by the man. Perhaps they can head to the empty, free lands led by their fearless leader, The (Zan)Chief.

here's a quick lesson for you

eventually, everyone there will end up with aids

as children are born to aids postitive parents, they are born with aids

each generation more children will die before reaching sexual maturity
In Africa, studies suggest that one in three newborns infected with HIV die before the age of one, over half die before reaching their second birthday, and most are dead before they are five years old. 7

that isn't even figuring in the healthy kids that die because their parents die prematurely, and leave orphans to starve, etc

My cousins didn't contract HIV from their mother, so it's kind of a crock of shit to say ALL children do.

Mother-to-child-transmission of HIV accounts for the vast majority of children who are infected with HIV. If a woman already has HIV then her baby may become infected during pregnancy or delivery. HIV can also be transmitted through breast-milk.

it's a large enough sample in poorer countries that get it, that my point is pretty valid

ps, I didn't ever claim 100% would get it as newborns, just implying that over time it's going to amount to that, if nothing is done to isolate those that have aids/hiv

I'm with you on the isolation of them entirely. I just thought you were saying ALL children did regardless.

it's something like if your mom has HIV you have a 1/3 chance of being born with it
