you do. Your anger is so clear in every one of your posts...all you do is call people out with some attempt at making them seem dumb compared to you and your attitude on the board is sincerely awful. I always assume you're miserable.

as always, a brilliant rebuttal with absolutely no substance. you never disappoint.

you have constantly complained about where you live, saying that it's crime infested and there's nothing but n words where you are. over the years you have never said anything nice about new bedford, which would lead many to believe you're unhappy there by most sensible logic.

throughout the years, you have complained of numerous ailments and almost dying on multiple occasions. most people with ailments and who die pretty often aren't too pleased with it by most sensible logic.

you have, over time, complained about school and what a useless sack of crap it is, stating that education is overrated, basically. (mind you this was before your hay guyz i'm going to college!!! and before you never actually made it to class because you found another excuse to not make anything of yourself, career wise or education wise.) considering that education is the basis of establishing oneself in any manner, by all sensible logic, you're clearly not on a path of happiness with a bright future. (i totally support you in this one, though! i know two people who only have GED's. one is 30 and makes 9 bucks an hour at food lion and the other had to join the navy. sucks you can't due to your vast array of health issues!)

when any social status other than your own is mentioned, you vehemently attack it and use the word fuck a lot, in addition to the word faggot. this would lead most to believe that you're unhappy with most of your peers by all sensible logic.

pure unhappiness and constantly bitching about something generally means one is miserable, by all sensible logic. these are but a few examples, and there are many more in the harrison history book.

unfortunately, you're neither logical nor sensible, so i can see where you would struggle with this logically sensible perception

I think living forever in a place like New Bedford can certainly turn one's personality sour towards the world in general. It's difficult to explain to someone that doesn't live there.

Also I think personalities on a message board aren't exactly indicative of a true personality. The internet is what it is; it's usually a place for people to rag on each other anonymously, and to see who can own each other more, unfortunately.

Overall though I can't imagine not being miserable there. You can say it's self-inflicted and that may be the case, but the structure (or lack of one) in New Bedford doesn't really promote people improving themselves either.

When politicians talk about helping the poor, the disadvantaged, etc, the majority are not innocent and pure. Many are stuck in a pattern of depression and inequity because of both their own actions and the actions of the area they live in. I don't mean to give an excuse for all poor, but local failed policies are certainly a factor. Being born in an area like New Bedford that devalues education, it's not exactly surprising Harrison doesn't have too much faith in it.

you could use that argument for a lot of places, though. i mean a lot. the difference is that some people will rise above it, and some people will use it as an excuse for the rest of their lives for being how they are.

my area wasn't the greatest - it wasn't horrid, i don't think, but i once got spit on when i was in school from the second floor by a girl who called me a cracker and had no reason to dislike me other than the fact that i was white. she certainly wasn't the only person of her mentality in my school, i'd say that it was the mentality of about 50-60%.

his gripes about his school have been that he spent much of his time in the hospital, sick with yet another illness. i know that that area of ma isn't great - i would never want to live there, and i'm not saying i would, but as the intelligent adult he claims himself to be he has the choice to move knowing that it's the area bringing him down and nothing else.

the fact is that it's not the area bringing him down, it's him. i don't blame you for jumping to his side, i tried to defend him be it in arguments where he was just on the losing side because nobody likes him or be it mentally justifying to myself why he's such an overall ball of anguish - eventually you get to a point where you realize he's just full of total shit and he's never going to change, he's going to wallow in his own self pity and filth forever while he spits on everyone else for being above the shell of self loathing he is. giving him more justifications so that he can give a smug nod, say yep that's exactly why, and absorb another excuse to use later can't change that.

I'm talking more about the norm in New Bedford and a theoretical resident rather than singling out Harrison and defending him. There are many people similar and stuck in New Bedford like he is; many are much worse off. Almost all of them could change their life but they don't. That's the tragedy of poverty.

When people speak of helping the disadvantaged and the poor, people that live in New Bedford are some of the people they're talking about. There's usually sympathy for helping a name without a face but once you get to know someone, the blame tends to go on them. The problem is you could do that for almost all adult poor. And if you did that suddenly all those programs to help the poor are contradictory, since if they made their own bed it's their own fault.

It's a combination of their own actions and the lack of local policies that work to help people strengthen themselves and succeed. When the latter part isn't functioning, you get places like New Bedford and people like Harrison (and much worse).

Remember it's not all of southeastern Mass that is a bad place. The area immediately surrounding New Bedford is a great place to live. The people living in New Bedford aren't different; it's the area they live in, the drug and crime culture, and the failed local policies that promote hopelessness that are.

because i was in international baccalaureate classes and a suspension would've ruined me for one.. for two it really wasn't worth it. at the time i was a 115 pound little thing and likely would've gotten my ass kicked by her and her friends. and i wouldve had to run inside and all the way upstairs, blah blah blah.

plus i was at school for, you know, an education =p

Many of us have sob stories about growing up poor, in depressed areas, etc. Some of us do what we need to do to become a productive, independent adult and some of us don't. Harrison has most of the opportunities that the rest of the country enjoys, he just chooses to squander them and put the blame for his failure on someone else.

no shit

rather than get out, find a real job or get an education he spends all his time fucking around on computer games or hanging out

don't get me wrong, I'm all for hanging out and playing games, but you don't get to whine about living in the ghetto when all you do is waste time

What I have never understood with Harrison is why *NOT* go to school, even to a reasonably local community college? With careful budgeting and living cheap, you CAN get by on federal student aid grants plus loading up the student loans, combined with doing temp work during the summer. If you get a bachelors, no one will care about just having a GED, and yeah, you end up owing a big chunk of student loans, but get into the right field and paying them off is null sweat.

Sure, with just a GED and no SAT scores he won't be going to Harvard or BU or MIT or something, but fuck, if he really is as smart as he claims to be, he could put in 2 years at a UMASS and transfer to a prestigious school if he could really hack it. (or just stay at UMASS cause it's inexpensive).

Hell, that's what I did when the economy went into the shitter after 9/11. Couldn't find work, savings started running dry, and so rather than go home and be a parasite living with the parents, I got off my ass and went back to school, and got by on grants and loans, by going cheap (there's a reason I don't have an HDTV or a game console, and why I live in an old apartment with 2 other people). Now, I've only got 1 semester left for the degree, and I've got people already waiting to put my name in to be a junior developer at Google, a network engineer at Facebook, and for something in the games division at MS.

Harrison could've done much the same thing if he'd wanted to put out the effort, and he could be looking at getting into a high paying job that requires brain rather than brawn, and pays rather better than driving a forklift around. Yet he has constantly disdained such a path... Which, as I said at the beginning, makes no sense to me.

What part of SAME PROBLEM FOR OVER A DECADE hasn't this stupid cunt understood yet? You're implying that I made up some new ailment every time I fell ill. In-fact it was just the same exact thing hitting me over and over that got progressively worse each time. Oh hey, the same exact fucking problem for 12 years left untreated will give you ulcers, cause a hiatal hernia, and ultimately paralyze your stomach and subsequently your digestive tract?! WHO KNEW?! Not one of an infinite amount of Gastroenterologists!

I no longer have to suffer through it, and so it is irrelevant for me but...It's even more fucking ridiculous since you're apparently suffering from something they can't diagnose either.

I really honestly hope you have something that ends up killing you that if caught by any competent doctor wouldn't have. I will be over here lucky that I did not do so from mine. (though I would have if the stupid fucks took any longer diagnosing something so fucking simple to treat)

"Here's this drug, take this for a few months and take this other drug if problems flare up." (picture in other thread where stupid cunts couldn't keep their mouths shut either)

Sure I won't be happy if you die, but fuck if Irony won't be knocking at my door to tell me who he just visited.

lol@ sputtering spitting blabberfest of excuse after excuse. i also love the ever present addition of 'lol my friends back me up you guys dont know anything thats why my friends laugh at you lol'

guys seriously, it's not me. its everyone else. really. faggots, you're all faggots. fuck you i hope you die, you're all fucking geniuses, proof again that everyone but me on this board knows nothing. faggots. huurrrrrrrrrrr.

PS - that was another chapter of the harrison history book that i didn't include - by all sensible logic, one who wishes death on people on a regular basis generally doesnt define any antonym of miserable.
