If you're already not fat then building muscle mass isn't gonna lose you any weight dude lol

Bro, if you're lifting weights and staying the same weight you PROBABLY are burning a good amount of fat so I wouldn't worry about it. You'd have to with the added muscle weight.

That's why I said "Fucking weightlifting..."

It's keeping my weight up and I know that. Muscle is 17% heavier than fat.

Really? I thought the percentage was higher. So make a new goal - go for 220lbs pure muscle! At least it's an achievable goal if you're going to conitinue lifting ;p

It wasn't so much a goal as I said. I just wanted to see it on the scale for the hell of it.

i have got to get down to 200, i have been at 230-240 for about a year-18 months now... started riding my bike a half hour each night and need to stick with that.

i think at 6 1' - 2' ideal is around 190-200 right?

It's different for everyone.

If you went by some dumbass shit like the CDC. You'd be considered fat at 200lbs.

I didn't know the Center for Disease Control was the one who came up with the Body Mass Index chart.

Could have sworn it is an international standard which had been modified by the NIH in the US... or are you saying that being fat is a disease and not a symptom?

lol that's not nearly enough fanfare :P

congrats! :boots:

our family vacation to colorado is coming up in just under a month, and i decided that i should probably start going on a few long walks or hitting up the elliptical or something so i can be ready for hiking. josh is going with us and i'm going to drag him up a couple of mountains--there are two hikes in the vicinity of our cabin, nine-mile mountain and snow mountain, and i want to do one or the other or both while we're there. gogo sense of accomplishment! i figure if we can climb several hundred stairs to get to the top of st peter's basilica, we can handle a mountain trail. :D

well good for you. keep going cause it's the getting there that is the best part.

I moved downtown recently and I am loving walking everywhere. I think it's gonna do wonders for my pot belly (which is really cute and all but not really) and my sore legs/heels.

If I had a partner who could handle it, who could drop everything, I'd be gone.

I don't have shit holding me back but the fact I won't do it alone. None of my friends can even keep up with me on a short 20 mile ride. I have to keep fucking stopping to let them rest.

Bah. I don't like your excuse. Do it on your own! What I mean to say is, if you really wanted to do it, you would =)

Traveling alone isn't safe in this case.

If something were to happen to me, I'd be fucked. No one would know.
