Why would I sweat like a hooker if I went to church?

I've been to church many times and the only effect it has on me is extreme boredom.

I home-church. You can't really trust theologians and religous folks anymore, them being crazy and all. So that only really leaves home-churching!! =D

I still go just about every week.

Unfortunately, since I left a college atmosphere church, it's really become just an hour that I go and kind of meditate quietly while a guy talks and some people sing as audible noise. College church was great though, people upbeat and excited to be there instead of people seemingly just paying the piper before they die =/

Excuse the racism here but I'd be down for church if all churches were like black ppl church. Everyone's so into it, the singing is better and the pastors are so animated.

Indeed. It seems like churches in the deep south, regardless of race are much more energetic. When I was a kid I went to a Baptist church in rural Florida and there was serious energy. When I moved to MN, I felt like I was at a funeral every Sunday. Fuck white people and their lack of passion.

i can mostly get behind this but i also have to add that "contemporary" services are NOT the answer. either go super holy with a fifteen-ton pipe organ, or fire up an R&B/gospel band-- there's no place for watered-down alt-rock in church (or anywhere, for that matter)

I'm not very religious at all, but for some reason I have been getting into a lot of Christian Metal.

TDWP and August Burns Red specifically.

Not worried about things that don't exist.

You seem pretty confident in knowing something that no one is able to know.

Comparatively speaking? Sure.

Everyone knows I'm right. Some might just have deeper levels of delusion.

I'm not sure you should be talking about grasping reality mr. I believe in walking on water turning sticks to snakes and parting seas and what not.

My reality is pretty clear.
