I'm not sure this comment makes much sense. Saying they are a paper tiger implies that when faced with adversity they would crumble and in these two games they did the exact opposite. We came from behind to win in both games. We did so in the 4th quarter against Arizona. In years past we would have easily lost both games. Our defense is playing great, our running game is effective and we are pulling off hard-fought victories. Regardless, it is a better coached, younger and hungrier team. We are winning games without, arguably, our best player on defense, Laron Landry. Other than that we are the healthiest team in the division. With all that said, I do not think we win the division. I say we come in second behind only Philly. And if Vick ends up being out for an extended period of time this season, we might even place ahead of them.

The analogy means they look good, but really aren't. They won't win their division and that team does not strike fear into other teams heart. Thus, a paper tiger.
I could be wrong but if the Skins break .500 I'll be surprised. I don't see them in the better half of teams in the NFL. Maybe they aren't paper tigers, and are a good team. We'll get a better idea next weekend in Dallas.

Boggles my mind that people still say he's overrated. I'd say he's rated just about right.

I'd say the Pats line is way underrated and does not get the respect they deserve.
Brady looks so good because he can go quarters without a defender laying a glove on him. I think Brady is great, but I think he benefits from being with that team and that coach. You put Matt Cassel in, the O still hums. How's he doing in KC?

The 49ers won? What? Not only did they win, they won against a supposed really good team, and did it after being behind by 20 points halfway through the 3rd quarter? Did someone slip acid into my soda and I'm dreaming this? Pardon me while I go faint in shock...
Oh, and somehow the Lions won again. Not that I mind them beating the Cowpatties, you understand...

But still, the 49ers are 3-1 and the Lions are 4-0. I think I woke up in BizzaroWorld today....

Yea me and tug gave up on the lions in the 4th to head to the firing range. Our buddy mikey V called to tell me the lions pulled it off and I almost answered my phone while shooting. I cant believe that the lions are playing like this but I hope it keeps up.

You talk about bandwagoners and who can be Lions fans and who can't yet you give up on them in the 4th? Bad fan.
I was totally rooting for them, though. The Cowboys can suck it.

Arlos, I'll be going to the Skins vs Niners game on Nov 6th. It's looking to be a much better game than I thought before the season started. It should be a crazy defensive game. Though, I still cringe thinking of Rex Grossman vs Alex Smith, lol.

49ers 4-1... And after CRUSHING the Bucs. That was a woodshedding.
Next week's Lions/49ers game should be a MUCH better game than pundits were giving it credit for in the preseason.

Wouldn't that mean they got Andrew Luck though? Why would you wish them such good fortune?
Me, when I'm wishing a team ill, I hope they go 7-9 or maybe 8-8. Not good enough to make the playoffs, just good enough to give the fans occasional hope, only to dash it when they lose winnable games. Oh, and they don't end up with a top-10 draft pick, either. Thus my eternal wish for the Cowpatties to go 7-9 every year.

-Arlos
PS. Wouldn't it be hysterical if the Colts end up with the 1st overall pick, and get Luck to caddy for Peyton for a couple years and learn the ropes? Could be a QB dynasty the likes of which we haven't seen since the 49ers replaced Montana with Young.

Miami probably get the first pick since they are 0-4 and their starting QB is out for the season with injury.
