Played last night and got to lvl 10 or so. My first impression, other then having an emergency server maint for a few minutes (which tbh I expected some of this) , is how purdy it is. And how vast the world is, BUT it doesn't take forever to move through areas. And I am really digging the combat system so far

I've got a maurader on Lamia, and a lancer on Kujata if anyone's involved. I'm so not far in I'll put a character wherever anyone is. So lemme know

All the north american servers are always full, so I'm playing on chink servers. Apparently they don't like it when you /shout HIROSHIMA

Don't buy....unless you want to just play on a jap server, like I am.

Oh I didn't mean in a negatory way. Japs are nicer than the NA server ppl I'm finding. More helpful ect. A sand I don't know if I'm imagining bit or just having weird luck, but they are better players too, Luke healing and such

A couple of notes for anyone that's on the fence:

On the upsides, its very nice looking. Not too cartoonish like wow was. I like the combat system too

On the downsides, NA/EU servers are filled with afkers, or in other words a whole bunch of idiots who log on and leave the game on when they go to work or whatever, therefore when the server caps, none of the servers will let you log in. Jap servers I've had 0 issues with log in
Another downside, is that the maps and go here there quests make it pretty fucking easy ..very fucking easy. At least up t lvl 20 or so where I have managed to make it too. Same as WoW. Definitely made for first time RpG people. Alllll cut and dry and it always tells you where to go.



But yeah, gogo jap servers. I'd have already quit if bit wasn't for yhem

I've been playing on Cactuar and haven't had a whole lot of issues logging in. The maintenance Tuesday was supposed to help with server caps but I haven't gotten the chance to play since then. I'm having fun with it.
