If we get too many priests, I'll have to go mage.
My goal is to get a 6 person group together that can play 3/4 of the time together. Best setup would be something akin to:
Warrior, Rogue, Shaman, Priest, Mage, +Rogue/War/Mage

Is a warrior in offensive stance a good dmg dealer?

Where does the warlock fit in there?
I haven't grouped with too many warriors, we try to duo everything, but I heard that there is still alot of tweaking to do to warriors.
Lyion, how did you get a beta? I thought you were trying to buy mine not to long ago.

I'll be playing hunter. Have a rogue at 17, warrior at 18, druid at 11, and a mage at 11...mainly just biding my time til the next patch so I can go hunter nuts.

I think you'll be the only one.

Not compared to, say a Mage but it gives a group different options.

I really really like the warrior class.. They can be an effective dmg dealer with the right talents and stance.... er well from what I have seen.
I grouped up with a warrior last night and we were laying waste to things. Priest + Warrior is a devastating combo.
I’ve decided to do herb gathering and potion making for my trade skills got both above 60 last night. I think trade skills are a little too easy in their current state, but then again I’m just starting out.

They are a bit harder once you hit journeymen, trust me. I am actually running my warlock around trying to find herbs to make potions to get my skill up enough to go buy more potion recipes, it boggles the mind.

I'm pretty much sold on Warrior unless I see something else I like.
Thats if I decide to buy the live game.

YOU WILL OR I WILL HAVE TO COME AND FIND YOU AND BEAT YOU UP IN RL.
I was scared to make the switch because I remember the big DAoC craze and how so many went there, and it turned out sucking, and they all came back.
I really think that WoW took everything that sucks about EQ and made it better, and then made even the fun stuff from eq better.
The only thing that worries me is that it seems to me, at my level (lvl 21) everyhting is centered around quests. I go, get a quest, then I beat the quest and level, and then go get another quest, and so on and so forth, whnat happens when you have completed your leveling, I just hope there is more high end content. In EQ you have a plethora of targets that drop nice loot, and you dont have to be on a quest to access it. Here is seems you cant get the goodies unless you triggered the quest. Again, this may not be the case in the higher levels, but that is what it seems like

Decent but if you are the only warrior in a group and you use offensive stance, that is like a warrior in EQ saying, ok guys i'm shooting arrows at this one someone else tank.

Hmm I was wondering that my self... I would assume there would be lots of fun to be had with dungeons uber quests, big mobs, etc....
So far they seem to know what they are doing and I would think that they will keep up the trend.
I can’t wait to get higher levels so I can get more group centered. It seems that most people I run into in my low level travels are more interested in solo play versus group play, I really enjoy grouping and I’m hoping me being a priest and all will facilitate that style of play.

Just wondering if people would grab a second warr if they could, or would it be like 2 chanters in an EQ group.

Well Blizzard has said many time that like 95% of the high end raid type encounters aren't in beta and won't be in beta. They're being tested internally.
Another thing of intrest, next patch you will no longer be able to eat/drink during battles, sucks to be a priest.

Not sure on that, right now warriors are pretty powerful and I think a group would take another warrior over a rogue/warlock right now...things may change next patch though.

Er No, I never tried to 'buy' a beta account. To be honest, I wasn't that interested in it.
I was sent a normal beta invitation by Blizzard.
I think you have me confused with someone else.

Hmmm, I always get you and Diekan confused, that may be who........*shrug* Makes no difference to me.

I know they said it wouldn't be last week but there's a good chance it would be this week.

Diekan and I are so close in temperment, political beliefs, and our deep love of the south I see no cause for anger.
I also said I thought buying accounts <especially beta> was silly. If anyone was desperate to get into WOW, feel free to send me a check and my account is yours.
Not quite sure how you can confuse the two of us, honestly...
Did you buy your WOW account, Silv? Or buy one for Taxx?

I got them both through l33t connections.

I was right it was lyion, but I think this was before you got your invite.

And as Taxx said, he used a connection to get me my account =)

oh and you didnt offer to buy the account, you offered to take it if I wanted to send it. I did offer you my EQ account though, which you were not interested in. :scowl:

No, you are wrong. Did you read that thread? The one where I offered you 50 cents for your EQ account as a joke, and Taxx said it was worth 5 bucks for the cyber?
Show me where I discussed purchasing an account. Big fucking difference between jokingly asking for an account, and trying to buy one.
