Just by reading the forums for about 10 minutes, they've already said you shouldn't have to repair your items for 1-2 days, so they're still tweaking it (just as I thought).
As far as the undoccumented Rogue nerfs (again 5th patch in a row). Confuse got nerfed for an inferior Kick (stun + silence). Remorseless Attack got its timer nerfed from 20 seconds to 10 seconds...so basically I need to fight another mob RIGHT AWAY after the last one has died. That's if I'm lucky enough to have healed myself, gotten into stealth and gotten behind a mob to stab it....worthless.

Anyone remember what # this patch was? Like 0-11 or something like that? Trying to see how many more patches I have to go since I lapsed in patching for a little while.

I get the feeling the Blizzard team is starting to rush things, to try and get the game complete.
I wonder if Paladin and Hunter talents will be in before Open Beta....

If they are, I wouldn't expect much from them. Fucking Hunters don't even have pet skills yet. Warlocks only have HALF their pets so far.
Like I said, this game WON'T be ready till April.

Well, the only good thing is it'll be much more polished than EQ2 probably.
If they are promoting Open Beta, and Vivendi is reporting it live for Christmas, then they won't have the 6 more months they need.

Don't get me wrong though, I love the game and I will play it on release. I just don't think it will be "done" till about April. It will be playable for sure by Christmas, it's just not what I expected from Blizzard.
EQ2 is going to flop. It will never have near the success EQ had.

I seriously doubt EQ2 will flop. Especially since they have a really good 'bundle' pricing plan. 20 bucks a month gets you EQ, EQ2, Planetside, and SOEs web games.
The majority of my DAOC friends are going there.
I've managed to play a few hours of EQ2 and its fun, but not as fun as WOW right now. However, it will offer more to the non Diablo/Blizzard people in regards to roleplaying, depth, and character development. Creating a character in EQ2 results in a unique looking toon, versus the WOW lemmings.
EQ2 looks a lot better than WOW too, and is broader in scope and depth. WOW is limited by classes, races, and roles, whereis EQ2 is not.
Similar games that will appeal to different audiences. EQ still has 1/2 million subscribers and many more whom they can tap with offers.

HOW DARE YOU!
BLIZZARD'S SEMEN IS ABSOLUTE
No seriously, I hear nothing but good about EQ2. And people that wont give it an honest shot over developer grudges from a game they havent played in years is "lmao" funny.

Well it seems all the SOE fanbois hear nothing but good from EQ2 and all the Blizzard fanbois hear nothing but shit from EQ2. I've played both games. I played EQ for 4 years off and on.

I'm far from a "fanboi" but I do have an open mind about the game. Unlike some.

Unlike some.
Who are you referring to?

A lot of people who jump on the "let's h8 sony" bandwagon for no reason.
Hell, I was fucking PISSED when sony bought EQ from VI. Because I knew the game was going to steadily get worse in many aspects...
But I dont hold some ungodly grudge as if they raped my mother and sisters like most do.

I'm far from a closed-minded gamer if you were referring to me at all. I just wanted to clear that up. I know what I enjoy playing and I know what bores me.

I have reasons.

They fired my father four years ago from his position in charge of Sony North America Logistics. Whatevers clever though. He got a job with Phillips.

Yup. Which is why I trust one opinion. Mine.
Different tastes. I thought SWG was an amazingly good game, many hated it. Its still sitting at 250k subscribers so it does have some appeal.
I really enjoyed DAOC. A lot of people I know thought it was utter rubbish...
I'm fortunate in that I have a decent PC, and I'll try both. I've enjoyed WOW beta and will play it. I'll test the EQ2 waters on release.
If I enjoy both, I'll keep active subscriptions to both. If both companies fuck up, its easy to hit /cancel and have the option of coming back later.

Anyone have the latest patch(.12) that they can AIM to me? Mine is crawling at about 2k/s.
If someone could I'd appreciate it.

Grinding was so much easier before the patch, now I just farm BRD for exp
They nerfed remorseless for rogues, making it last only a few seconds, practically worthless now. No more ambushing for 2500 and killing a mob once every 5-10 seconds >_<

i solo'd for 2 hours, didnt drop much at all in durability, cost me a whopping 16s to fix all my gear, and yes i get hit alot while soloing. thats at level 60. so i think having to go there every 30 min or so is lil dramatic.
bah dropping my sig..
oh p.s. as far as eq2
i have beta account for it... its graphics arent that good, only thing i was impressed with was the making of my character. the way the game is set out isnt very good, i found beta testing the original eq was much better. there isnt as many classes now as in regular eq either. some things are better than eq in eq2, but cant say its better than wow. Afterall here wow is down for maintenance and i'm not tempted to play eq2.
I still absolutely hate the loading time, the zoning time etc that i have to do with eq and eq2. its not even close to as smooth in playability.

Those were rough numbers based upon a limited data set.
However, grinding out for 3 hours the other night, my lowest durability item was almost gone(boots were at 10% or so).
The way that durability is calculated at this point is so seriously flawed that it is impossible for long exp grinds to be planned and executed.
