I dunno, just seems like 98% of the green drops I've found to date have been crap I can't use (cloth, mail, wands, leather items that are crap compared to what I can make for myself, maces, and vendor-crap weapons). I can't remember the last time I had an upgrade-worthy axe, sword, dagger, or nice piece of leather drop my way.
Pretty much everything I'm wearing I either got as a quest reward, or crafted myself. I try not to spend my money in the auction house. Trying to save my money for skill training, etc. I'm up to 17g now at 31.
Last nice drop I got was over a week ago, the night we did WC, and I got that nice blue bow (Venomstrike, I think...) off of Serpentis. At the time, it was a huge upgrade (was using the reward rifle from Northwatch Keep up to then).

no point being left out of NBG rolls simply because you didn't bother to train in a weapon type...)
your biggest problem... QUIT USING NBG loot rules!
seriously that setting for loot in a group is BULLSHIT... it lets the wariors roll on everythign and the cloth people get to roll on jack... nothing quitle like having a warior roll and win that damn nice robe i was drooling over while hes also the only one that can get the plate /mail drops... yay fun ><
just have it free for all loot and group with people with brains that arent gonna grab everything...
if its guild groups your doin this in just free-for-all loot and use your brain man... and dont be a dick and take the dagger's that a rog would want.. ect ect
