No one finished sky prior to kunark, and i'm 99% sure LoS was 1st to clear isle 4

I remember some of the old old schoolers bitching about not being in the beta to learn about the l33t talk backwards to progress trick

That is sweet. Aryylas and I used to talk about how we should start a guild that works through only old world content and totally ignores the new end of the game, because face it, the most fun the majority of us ever had was EQ/Kunark/Velious.

It wouldnt be the same now though. Youw ould have seen it all already, youw ould know exactly how to beat the encounter. THAT is where the fun was. Learning how to work through situations.
