Forgot to add afew things...

Drunken Raid leading (those in BoD know what im talking about), and all the antics that came of it.

The most fun i had though, was grinding in VL in uppers camp. Jumping to the bottom and pulling 15 spiders at a time, running to the castle and pulling castle mobs also. Kaelz and i had a great time with that.
Why fight it, i am a Man Whore!

Tikker... exactly the zone in in Old Sebilis.. when a couple people around would group and pull inzone stuff then accidentally get like 10 mobs and for some reason run back to inzone and get everyone killed.. or for those that had ToV armor and weapons etc.. had to mow thru the stuff and then we yelled at them .. zone out next time hehe

best was when Pendret would zone in and ask Is TRAK UP? and like a spam of YOU SUCK came next hehe

i also forgot when the TWs zerged Vulak.. then the next day they instituted the Ring of Shittyness in ToV, after remedy and LoS didn't kill him so we could have a shot at him.

I also miss the LoS Sanc fights hehe.

oh and falling from the highest point in ToV to the lava below that was great.

first Trakanon kill was awesome also. i was shaking with anticipation then we finally downed him it was great.

i never did get to see the PLane of Mischief

The tiny castle is in great divide now, though the zone has changed since back when you played anyway.

My rogue is level 50 mall. I'm having fun levelling and screwing around.

If you join up to adventure and have fun, it'll be good. If you want to have the latest and greatest stuff... Well, that takes an assload of time, and you will be behind the Joneses for a while.

So many things to choose from, all the good and bad memories...

First and foremost the people of the game. Too many to mention them all.

Loading up my first character a level 1 high elf pally and dying at night (with low gamma) under Kelethin. Never found that body again.

Wondering what a "hotkey" was. I had never played a game like this one before.

"Transferring" gear from my newbie via dropping a bag to another character that I logged on, then going linkdead and thinking "shit I was exploiting and got caught". Never had seen a linkdead before.

My first Hate raid with Serenity Within as Firbolg and being saved by the gnome mage brigade.

My first Hate raid as Ironfang pulling train after train on the raid by mistake (the joys of pathing).

Our first TOV raid and actually killing mobs in Halls of Testing with 10-12 KOS people. Damn we died a lot that night.

The breakup of Serenity Within, starting Infusion and having it fall apart a few months later when all the old SW crowd quit in one bad week.

Being a hardcore trader for months on end in the EC tunnel.

Leading raids then finally being stuck with officer tag of Euphoria and wondering why I am volunteering for this headache day after day. Winning encounters is fun, leading raids is a lot like herding cats... what a total pain the ass.

The absolute wonder at how much fun a "live" D&D game actually is. Hell, I just restarted as a necro in the last week. Go figure after quitting over a year ago.

I also miss how people would come to my solo spot near the bank in KD and try to take it over and kick me out.

I also miss being falsely accused by a handful of guild-mates of "farming armor in KD while I was supposed to be on raids with the guild." Reminds me of the 8th Commandment:

THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST THY NEIGHBOR.

"All men must be aware that to gossip or to darken another man's name or way will most certainly be accountable to Me. Each man is accountable for himself and will have to stand solely alone on the merits he earned walking the human role. Men who sin against this Rule will most likely sin against several of the others, for to bear false witness says ego, pride, jealousy, contempt, and a lack of self-discipline."

Aah the good ole days.

except you were farming armor while you were supposed to be at raids, and you intentionally trained the guild on a few occasions. Watching you get kicked out was one of my favorite EQ memories.

I miss not knowing a thing, starting as a necro in Neriak and being lost for 2 hours without finding the zone line, then quitting to play a human monk.

I miss fighting in Blackburrow till level 15 because I'd only seen like 6 zones.

I miss my first run from Qeynos to Freeport.

Specter Trains in the Oasis, and learning FD (I was uber then).

Being able to run around Cabilis as a hume and have all the lizzards look at me and wonder what the hell i'm doin there.

Talking to guildmates and friends in the game period, not to mention killing stuff for and with them is prolly the thing I miss most.

Pulling and splitting was probably my favorite, it kept me awake during raids and I was actually useful.

Quests, love those too especially epic quests (Coco should remember how I got mine).

Spawning unlimited Jade Reavers for the druids in our guild, think we hit 87 in a row before the one up top finally respawned and broke our chain.

Lair of splitpaw, KC, OS, Chardok, Kael, The real Planes and to a lesser extent the other planes(everything but hate and fear).

Doing a CR in old hate after a huge wipe and dragging 40+ corpses from Maestro's room to entrance and staying alive.

What do I miss from Old EQ.

-Seanlan, Terv, Kaemon, Zedd and I and our late nite Howling Stone runs, with no chanter ever. Thanks for reminding me of those Tossica. We leveled 55-60 in that zone.

-Tigole!!!!!

-Racing down with Sanc/EoTA to kill Trak and getting to safe Room to see LoS sitting there and saying to myself, "Here we go" and then having Trak trained on us and all 3 guilds wiping, and then summoning later and laughing about it, cause it was so stupid to be fighting over that anyways!

-AoW kills, when he was a badass pimp that no one believed could be killed.

-Nagafen / Vox raids, when buffing was hard and most important.

-Shock of Swords, only cause of the way it ended. Thanks to Valorgaurd for making EQ fun again.

-Legacy of Steel and Sanctuary going off on each other.

-Ring WARS!! When Mages could stand on the hills and send bolts. It was almost like watching a real war with wizard Artillery flying overhead. Best quest ever put in EQ, in my opinion. Nothing was ever more fun than Ring Wars, in the old days, when people LOST all the time.

-NToV. Killing dragons is still the best fun in EQ.

-The run from Queynos to Freeport, and wondering if I was gonna make it.

And all the stuff that felt new, and hard, and different, and looked badass, and wasn't just the same old thing slapped together but had a real story and real history, and meant something in the end.

good times for sure~

Pickup PoHate raids...Angie, Wooh, Julik, many more...lots of good monk pullers there, too many to remember=/

Short Bussing it up with Regret, especially in NToV. Vyemm = fun

Camping the mud bowl in CT with Aalronx for a few hours for some 1337 exp when we were in our mid 30's. Gogo bind wound! Maaaachine~!

Camping Ssra pieces with remedy.....then again with regret..and some with VG.... :hanged:

Hitting OS when i was level 49...i remember Mallaus and an LoS pally( Voronwe i think....) had a group in the necro jail and let me hit it with them the first day i came to OS.I think i ended up getting a black pearl or two on the split. They probably dont remember but hey, it was a blast.

A little more recently TFS's first Rathe kill was a riot, same for Vallon Zek in time. Every time you get a huge kill like that it makes you think that nothing will ever top it in excitement. I think thats what i ''miss" about the old eq, there were a LOT of fights like that. First time my oasis group killed a DW Croc, or A Orc Warrior. Clearing froggy isle with the troll crew when we weer all about level 3 and the innothule was pretty well populated. SRo orc camp stomping. Lots of little things back in the day that gave alot of satisfaction and excitement. Those fights nowadays are fewer and farer between =/

they just need to reintroduce smaller zones with more unique areas and mobs. everything in oldschool up to velious had tons of names for every little camp and area of each dungeon. there isn't hardly anything like that anymore. you aren't like 'holy shit, made it up to 3s and past the bats... gotta get to ldc'

The game EQ was in my opinion designed to make me lose. Every turn I took it tried to stop me. But this made those moments of achievement so sweet. I now play World of Warcraft, every turn the game is designed to make me win. I get a diferent enjoyment out of it.... but none of it has even compared to killing that bastard Overseer in dalnir with a group of my best friends, who lived on the other side of Earth. The pvp system in wow is very exciting and challenging, but there will never be those moments of sweet achievement that EQ had to offer.

1. Killing PoD's with Leik and Tigole late at night.

2. Liquid Sword

3. Dying in the Snakepit of Blackburrow a couple of weeks after the server opening and debating on quiting since I couldnt get my corpse back.

4. Meeting the 1,000 people at Qeynos gates who were all as clueless as I was. I still have that music in my head.

5. Fighting over Millers with Ginz and Sindsy~

6. Joining up with Dawn of Eternity (sup Lyion/Kyo), that soon merged with some Falcon's Pride to form up Euphoria.

7. Quiting EQ, and coming back to Euphoria to take part in the ultimate standoffs in ToV with SoS.

8. Old school peeps like Homegrown, Nizzar, Fijian Roomates, Shadowspear, that asian chick in OS yelling camp checks 24/7, and now my mind draws a blank to their names..........

Too many more to mention.....
