Reminds me of when I lived in Rhode Island. I always thought that if it wasn't within 20 minutes driving, it wasn't worth going there. Then I moved to Seattle and found that NOTHING worth doing was within 20 minutes of driving!

Rhode island is so small I could piss across it. I hate RI, it's scum-infested and ghetto-filled.

Roger Williams Zoo, and Lupo's are the only things in that state I care to think of ever going to.

Lupo's is quite possibly my favorite club to see bands play at. (Now it's Lupo's at the Strand since they moved)

The scum-infested parts are places like Providence. The small towns scattered throughout the state aren't as bad as you seem to think. You are correct about it's size, though.

If you like seafood, mini golf, go karts, arcades, parks, whale watches, fishing etc.

There is a water park near cape cod too, Water Wizz (or whiz or wiz...I forget) Your kids would love it I'd guess. (all old shit to me since I live here and within 30-1hr of it all for the most part my entire life)

Martha's Vineyard can be a lot of fun too, a pretty large arcade or two with nice restaurants. Beaches with some nice swimming. The people are all rich snobs, but F them you don't need to interact.

Kind of irrelevent since I think the coast is out of "driving range".

That sounds perfect. Now if Darcler will fly up to Cleveland, we can split the driving. If not, I could make it a week long tri with 2 days of driving there, and two days back I suppose.

Cape Cod would be roughtly 700miles. You could do it in 11ish hours. Its really not a bad drive. Could even stop by Niagra Falls on the way there or back.

If your up to it, 11hrs drive straight through to get there in 1 day, Then you could split up the ride home by stopping at niagra falls for the night. The falls really are an interesting stop if you have the time.

So I guess that means you won't let Darcler come.

700 miles is nothing. The college I used to go to back when I was going the first time around was almost exactly 1000 miles away from where my parents lived and where I spent the summer/winter break. I used to drive that in 1 shot by myself in about 14.5 hours. I can imagine that it might be moderately more trying with 2 kids in the car, for sure, but at least driving out to the coast you ought to be able to do that in 1 shot. Just make sure they each have a GameBoy and plenty of batteries or something.

We used to live near Cape Cod when I was real little about 5 I am thinking. I don't remember much, but I do remember Plymouth Rock, we went to see it around that time.

If you and Darcler/Gidan all came to the area I could be your guide even by phone. I know this eastern portion of the state like the back of my hand.
