yes, there's a PC version. if you have 25 year-old analog equipment i'd just use that for vintage appeal, but computer would be easier/cheaper.

No, the two things I linked you are stand alone synth/effect processors. The micro modular needs a PC in order to build new modules for it but once they are built, you can unplug it from the editor.
