Kinda worries me, hope they dont completely butcher a really good book. From what I have read on it though, it appears they are actually going to attempt to make Enders Game and Enders Shadow into a single movie. Makes some sence I guess, doing just Enders game would leave something out.

When you finished the Dark Tower, did you stop where he told you to stop? or did you read the last chapter? =P
I actually liked how it ended, because it explained how he subconsciously seemed to know so much stuff

Well since Petersen has only ever made two good movies, Enemy Mine and The never ending story, and those were over 20 years ago, I wouldnt hold my breathe.

We used to play that movie for the new recruits(nubs) arriving on the boat. loved to scare the hell out of them

Excellent stuff.
Also, Ender's Game, for any that haven't read it, should jump to #1 on the list for light reading/sci fi/fantasy.
If you want to read some layman's, mind blowing, paradigm shifting, exciting type stuff, read Brian Greene's books, The Elegant Universe, and The Fabric of The Cosmos.
Also, if youve never read A Brief History Of Time, do it.
One more I highly recomment is E=MC2, its a history of the science and discovery that led up to Einstein's famous discovery, and the impact it has had on our world. Fascinating.

If you like Good Omens try Phule's Company Series by Robert Asprin (sp?) It made me lol
Also for a really obscure book but a neat read try Interstellar Pig, I found it in one of my uncle's collection and it was a good little story.

I thought Good Omens ... sucked. /shrug
The humor felt contrived and labored.
