When they stay out of my garbage then I'll start being kind to them. I had MAGGOTS on my damn porch this week from the strays around here.

I think she meant that the strays are bringing her garbages onto the porch. From where maggots can appear.

It takes a few days for maggots to appear on a piece of rotting meat. I suggest better cleanliness and housekeeping habits.

Try just shooting the cat just like you would any other kind of rodent. It's a better solution than garbage can lids, for sure.

No cans allowed....which is part of the problem.
I've taken to coating the bags with cayenne and crushed red pepper as a deterrant. I'll let you know how well that works.

if it gets moved there i will post a large picture of an old man, sticky the thread, then lock it and export it to the tech support forum where hopefully it will sit and annoy people until a mod sees it which might be a day or two

Mo, I have had alot of problems in my area with stray cats. I have not done this but it is tempting after about the 12th time I have had to clean up garbage on my lawn from the fuckers. nothing like seeing a cat rip open a bag or 5 day old garbage spilling maggots all over the place. The little fucker does it about 10 feet from you. We cant you garbage cans because our screwed up trash collectors will throw those away too. has to be bagged and sitting on the ground.

I built a storage container on the side of my garage for garbage because of the stray cats & raccoons that like to tear into my garbage. Keeps them out, I just spray bleach down every month to keep shit from growing in it.

WTF kinda place that you live in that doesnt either provide a can or at least allow you to use one? You people should start piling your trash in your local councilman's yard until they change that crap.
