It's embarrassing watching you guys use your dungeons and dragons charm on these chicks.

P.S. I just wanted to say that I think the ladies of the NT are very beautiful. You check out some other forums and you will find fat bertha with a mole on her nose and three tits!
Secondly, how can you sit back and judge anyone for their beuty? Beauty is only skin deep, [eople. You all know this. Love is blind. It doesn't matter if someone seems unattractive to one person because they will seem beautiful to the ones who love them and that is all that matters. The opinions of those who don't love them, don't matter. As soon as you can realize that all people have the same fears and the same loneliness inside from time to time, perhaps it will make it easier for you to stop passing unnecessary judgement on them. This part of the threaad greatly disappointed me because I happen to care about you guys and I don't like watching you say cruel things to each other. I like watching you be dickheads. Don't get me wrong. But this personal attack shit is so high school.
Furthermore, why am I not on that goddamn list? FUCK YOU GUYS!
Finally, I want to add that I met Virra on EQ> We were indeed in love before we ever saw each other and it is still awesome. I love that we have been together for five years and still have constant conversation. We are still in love. In fact, we fucked at some rest stop in new york this summer.I will admit the passion was dead after five months with my kids' father. And that is the truth. The internet is NOT just for porn. It is for porn and meeting people you can grow old with. When you are in a rocking chair and your sex-parts don't work anymore, there has to be someone there to keep you company. And you should like that person, or you will probably dieearly from heart failure due to stress of having to put up with someone who annoys the fucking shit out of you.
This brings me back to my original point. Looks do NOT matter in any case. I know that some of you probably won't read this. And this is me, not giving a fuck.

That's a huge crock of shit. Looks do matter to a degree. A lot of what a person looks like is a good indicator on how they live their life. Fat fuckers are fat because at some point in their lives were lazy. People with bad hair and don't care enough to groom are generally demotivated. People who dress retardedly (and you can dress stylish and assemble a decent outfit for less than 40 bucks) are typically uneducated or again they are demotivated and don't give a fuck. That's the first thing people see, and that's enough for them to say "Fuck this guy" as opposed to getting to know him and getting to that "love" stage. Love is blind and all that shit too, but I don't know if I could love a girl who didn't respect me enough to dress decently when we went out or didn't care enough take care of her body and stay as attractive as possible.

I have bad hair. I'm not ungroomed and unmotivated, I was just born with crappy hair that looks like shit if it isn't brushed every 5 minutes.

Like greasy an nappy ass hair that hasn't been washed in weeks. With knots and shit in it. It's easy to tell if there was an attempt to maintain it in some way within the past couple of days. I'm also generalizing too. There are people out there who just have shitty hair. One thing too is that you are extremely hard on yourself when it comes to looks anyways so even if you had Pantene commercial quality hair you'd still say it was bad.

I might dress like it but no I'm not gay. Wanting someone to look like less than shit in public with you doesn't make you gay. I can see the misconception though because some straight tough guy wannabes think it's cool to have 0 standards.

IT IS POSSIBLE!

I am not sure how it happened, Jimmy. I never saw the internet as somewhere that I could meet the man I would spend the rest of my life with. Hell, back in the day I didn't even give out my email address. It wasn't until I realized that all people are people, even the ones on the net, that I actually opened up and made some of the best friends I have ever had in my life. I think conversation is the most important thing in a relationship, next to honesty and loyalty of course.
Jay, I think you missed my point. Of course a dirty skank eating out of my garbage is going to freak me out. But if I fell in love with an ugly guy, it wouldn't matter to me what he looks like. Hence, Virra. I got lucky that he is good looking. In fac t, this is funny, we were actually going to meet at a chapel with bags on our heads and get married! We didn't of course, but only because we have common sense and decided to gfive it some time before we got married.
We are getting married eventually, but there are complications. My mother doesn't care if she is at my wedding, but my stepdad wants to walk me down the aisle. His father doesn't really care about coming, but his mother wants to be there. He and I don't actually give an hoest shit about getting married, I am 30 and I have never been married. I don't take wedding vows lightly. I don't believe in divorce. I don't care if people want to get divorced, but as for myself, I want it to be forever.
Well, I guess I have talked enough here. See you in another topic!
P.S. Fuck clothing, I am naked as often as possible. What does that say about me?

My point is, back when i worked at McDonalds I was still able to properly clothe myself and not look like a bag of shit. Ross, Sears, thrift stores all have decent clothing at decent prices that don't look extremely gay.

He's right. Looks are am important part of the process. It's too bad that so many people take it to the extreme though. So many people think they deserve Brad Pitt, or Cathy Zeta-Jones and completely base their choice to date someone based solely on looks.
Hey, just open your eyes for more than 10 minutes and look around. We're constantly being bombarded with ads, commercials, TV shows, music... practically everything telling us we're nothing unless we're attractive. Ad agencies use sex because it sells... and I sware if I see another "Chew this gum and these two hot women will want to screw you!" someone is going to die.
You can get a pretty good idea about someone from the way they dress and look. Now, obviously you're not going to get a COMPLETE picture of that person, but I think by and large you can at the very least get a pretty good hint of "what" they are.
Of course you also have to consider the situation. I see attractive women at the gym who look like shit... I don't think they're being lazy, nor do I think they're carefree about how they look... some people go to the gym to sweat and workout, not to be picked up on (both men and women).
Let's face it, stereotypes are typically formed from past experiences... and usually where there's smoke there's fire. If you see someone dressed like a skater dude - tell me you don't automatically think they're a certain way... or some chick dressed all hip hop. We all do it.
But, back to his point. Yeah, if you ladies see some dude with a scraggly beard, unkept hair and dressed like he got his clothes from Goodwill... tell me you're run up and introduce yourself and ask him out. The same is true for men... most dudes aren't going to chase down women who look like shit either - it's the nature of the beast that is American pretentiousness (sp).
If you're not physically attracted to the person you're with, you can't have a lasting relationship. Things like sex become more like a chore than someone to enjoy... so on and so on. Problem is with Americans... most of the time if said person doesn't cause you to pop wood, or get all wet when they walk through the door... they'll keep their eyes open until someone who does comes along. Americans are selfish and shallow - it's the way it is and the way it will be for a very long time. At least until we grow up and realize that "Desprite Housewives" (beside being a shit show) isn't real life and that just because you're YOU doesn't mean you
deserve Cathy Zeta...
I catch myself using "looks" all the time. When I go downtown, for example, I NEVER go up to the chicks dressed in short tight skirts and heels... why? Because experience has taught me that 9 times out of 10 they're just after attention and have zero interest in "meeting" anyone. I usually end up talking to the women dressed in jeans who are just hanging out. A lot of the time I'll end up talking to them for a couple of hours about everything under the sun with no intentions of "getting some."
I've gotten to the point where I can almost tell what type of person an individual is by the way they dress, look and carry themselves. What's scary is that 80% of the time I'm usually right on the money.
I can't see how anyone can fall in love over the Internet. Sure, you might be very much infatuated with them, and perhaps that underlying sexual desire derived from fantasy might have a tight grip on you... but actually falling in love, with typed words, photos and a few phone calls here and there? I can't say it's not possible, but I do agree it's highly unlikely.
