Geez, I was kidding :) I really just wanted an excuse to use that seldomly used emoticon.

/drama on

Ok, for the past couple of weeks I haven't been feeling that "spark" with Kristin. It's been 6 weeks since we started dating, and it was all good for about the first 3 weeks, but things were getting kind of "blah." She had all the qualities I was looking for in a girl, but something just wasn't clicking. I went to talk to her in person today at her work (she owns her own pet grooming salon) about how I was feeling. The conversation went like this:

Me: Hi, how you doin?
Kris: Oh, it was a busy day today... I'm wiped out, and now I have a bunch of Christimas presents to wrap up tonight. I got your mom and dad something nice. (Oh shit!)
Me: Hey, how are you feeling about everything with us?
Kris: Well, I feel pretty good... why, what's wrong?
Me: I've been thinking a lot about us lately, and I've been wanting to talk to you about it for a couple days now.
Kris: Ok, what is it?
Me: Well, I feel that something is missing in our relationship... I'm not feeling that "spark" that I was looking for. I mean, I think you're beautiful, and you don't have any baggage, and we have a lot in common, but something is definitely missing.
Kris: (with a shocked look) I appreciate your honesty with me. I'm very disappointed obviously, but I'm glad you came up here to tell me in person and not string me along.
Me: I'm very sad about this too... especially now around the holidays. I don't know if I'm making a big mistake with all this, but like I said... there's something missing and it wouldn't be fair of me to just suppress these feelings.
Kris: Well, that's what dating is all about... to get to know the other person before things get too serious. I've been in your position before and had to tell guys the same thing that you just told me.
Me: You're a wonderful person and I wish you all the best. I hope we can still talk and maybe even hang out every now and then. (I figured it's better than using the old cliche "can we still be friends?")
Kris: Yeah, ok... I'd like that.
Me: Ok, well keep in touch, and take care.
Kris: Ok you too.

Fuck. :(

True, but I wasn't in love with her and that's where the problem was. I wasn't looking forward to seeing her anymore, and the "giddy" feeling I had in the beginning was all but gone.

Dud eyou have been dating her for 6 weeks, aresn't you the one who always tells me to slow my roll when I start falling after a couple of months? You should have waited at least another 6 weeks to see what was up.

I know exactly how you feel, Mindia. I once dated a girl for a month and quickly realized I had no feelins for her. She was beautiful, fun to hang out with, and an overall great girl. I ended up breaking up with her because I know that she was really into me (as much as someone can be in a month). If I had continued dating her I'd have only her her more in the long run.

I was just messing with you Kizzy. Also, it would not have been fair to her to go along another 6 weeks, imo.

That's code for "I dated a chick and fell in love with her the first week and when I asked her to marry me she said 'let's be friends'. The next day I saw her with someone who resembled Shaq and in the end I'm happy because she's happy."

Yeah, it kind of sucks, but you shouldn't suppress your feelings and try to tell yourself that things will get better... they never do. I really felt this was the right thing to do.

You should have stuck it in the butt. That always brings a new level to any relationship. You would have gotten another 6 weeks out of it.

I wouldnt say I like it, as in actively seek it, but I definately dont mind at all.

Besides, it's one of the things you (general) say when people ask for relationship advice or leave an opening to recieve advice.

I honestly cant imagine having a conversation like that that looked like it came out of a self help book.
But then again, when I dumped someone, I just stopped answering calls.

Why would a guy want to stick his penor through a sphincter where stinky, bacteria-infested excrement exits the body? Because it's supposedly tight? I guess if you have a small penix and can't feel the tightness and incredible feeling that a vagina offers, then the cinammon ring is for you.
