If I was a man of faith, which I'm not, I would start to wonder why these things keep happening. It seems gas production is gonna take another huge hit. Looks like the hurricanes are trying to get us to use a renewable energy source~
Either that or God is looking to finish the job he did on the folks from NO.
yeah. She is telling us that we need to stop sucking up the lubrication of the earth(oil) or it will stop rotating.

Just curious, how close is Bush's ranch to the projected path of Rita?

As for those who refuse to leave, Gov. Kathleen Blanco advised: “Perhaps they should write their Social Security numbers on their arms with indelible ink.”

I think the governor wants to steal their identities.

Why? Do you honestly think that it would affect him in the least? He isn't there. Your tax dollars would pay to fix the fucker in one way or another.

As for why this is happening, i read that we are coming to an end of a 1000 year -down- season on hurricanes and should prepare for an ushering in of asskickers.

Since weather records do not go back much prior to 100 years ago, you have as much to believe this is the work of god, the devil, global warming, ozone depletion or vonkaar's wang causing it.

I vote for Vonkaar's Wang. He needs to quit slinging that sucker around.

Of course there are no records. But meterologists can tabulate trends in climate and occurences of storms and extrapolate a reasonable idea of how many storms happened during certain periods of time.

Exactly. not to mention back date climate data stored in ice, soil, etc.
Do you think someone wrote a fucking book about what was going on as the ice ages were happening? Or any journals written about what the weather was like when Dinosaurs were around? No, but they can study the shit and figure it out.
