lyion wrote:Sorina, you are not the only person who was around in the 70s and 80s. Most of this board is 30something and 40somethings, so I'd stop thinking you are on the WOW forums.
ohh swing and a miss, I don't post on any WoW forums Lyion. Sutiea once did a survey of Euphoria members to get the average age, it turned up 28. You really think I rely on my age to intimidate folks? Well, maybe sometimes but seriously, I reserve the right to be wrong, if I am show me.
Your board if full of folk that call foul with absolutely no real world knowledge. That kinda sticks in my crawl. You're a smart man, you know what to do. You didn't like what I said? No worries, we all sleep well at night. I like you Lyion, I like a person that says what he thinks without judgement...and sometimes you do. I'll go with a whisper...You were my friends once, I won't forget that. Disagreement never destroys friendship, it just makes it harder to remeber who your friends are. heh
No offense but there are more interesting boards than this. But if what you want is a one sided conversation or an easily defeated foe then I spose it's time to take my leave. All the best~

My sole point is you do a disservice by making age an issue here. Despite the juvenile antics, many here are 30/40/50ish. They remember the 80s and 70s., even if at times they seem much younger. NT has that effect on people.
Also you seem to equate knowledge of past generations and age with wisdom, when in my mind they are mutually exclusive. You make good points, even if many of them I personally do not agree with. There is no need to try to make someones life experiences part of the equation.
I agree many have less real world knowledge, but again that isn't age, but insulation which is another thing.

You're right Lyion. And I don't express myself well, my apologies. I only wish to express a veiwpoint that isn't by any means far left or incendiary. I leave myself open to trolls and ridicule. No worries, I know what it was I meant to say.
Unfortunately, on this forum, I find my opinions trashed. That's okay with me if someone intellegent like Yamori is doing the trashing. The constant trolls and taunts is what gets me in trouble.
There are other places where I can express the same views and get both supported and soundly rebuked in the same thread. I don't have a problem with that, I don't doubt that I'm misinformed. Personally I think we all are, but still I seek the truth and if I come on strong the truth seems to be revealed sooner. Been that way for me since I joined the anti war movement in 1971.
Yes I defer to my age, that's false I know. But I have indeed been there, and I fear we are going there again. Thank you for that constructive comment.
I only come here because I played the game as Lhor and Sorina for nearly 5 1/2 years. I felt comfortable here to say what was on my mind. I fell into the trap of attacking the poster and not the post. I'm not alone but that's no defence. Perhaps stricter moderation of certain boards here is in order.
At any rate I apologise if I offended anyone here with half a brain, the rest of you can go pound sand.

Hehe I've always liked that epithet, "Go pound sand." But what does it mean!

Not sure where that comes from, we say it alot here in Jersey Min but I dun know why. I did forget to mention that I found it hysterical that you compared me with Mindia. Mindia was a good bud of mine on the gamefield but I don't don't think we'd see eye to eye on the political front. Then again I guess that makes sense.
Ooops I did it again.

No that's why you're bizzaro mindia. Like Bizzaro Superman, from the Bizzaro Universe where everything was opposite. As Bizzaro Mindia, you fall to the radical left side of the political spectrum, which means you are so worried about the welfare of others, you don't realize that in the real world in order to make one persons life better you generally make someone elses worse. Like Mindia, you use rhetoric and the "if I repeat myself 10 times I'm right" method of debate, just on the opposite end of the spectrum. Where Bizzaro Superman had similair powers to Superman, he used them for evil rather than good, hence the analogy.

And everyone else here is just peachy Normal, Min? Yeaaaaahhhh..... We could be the Bizarro Forum.
Nobody is close to Mindia. I believe Mindia is really Mikevonkaars alter ego when he's overtly intoxicated with gin....
