OK so do you have a suggestion for a server with an extremely low population? While this will assfuck me on grouping, I am more interested in not having a ton of dipshits KSing the hell out of me. From the way they are describing their servers on the eq2 board, it is resembling LOIO in 2001/early 2002.

KSing is no longer really possible. You can lock your encounters so no one else can attack the mob if you like. Also stuff respawns real quick in those revamped newb zones. Your quest mob down? He'll be back in 5 minutes.

Have no idea about low population servers, since the merges. When you make your character it will ask you what server you want to be on when you name him. The one at the top of the list will be the one with the lowest population at that moment, one at the bottom will have most people on.

I thought I was going to be slick and try to get into trial of the isle expired trial and enter my code that way...burnout..it sent me to the "buy it" page.Ah well..I'll be playing tomorrow sometime.

Swashbuckler is the good version of the brigand. Instead of stuns swashbucklers get mez. Or something. I dont know much about them, I know people seem to like them and think they are a good class.

Iguess your talking about swashies.
I have not run into many rogue clasess I did not want in the group.

As for tank classes. If you want aggro magnets go beserkers. The bastards cant lose aggro at all. Last night we had one in a group against a epic mob. Had a wizard that loves these guys. He can lay down a full mana bar of Napalm and not grab aggro.

Most guilds (including ours) are desperate for healers so any of you planning on becommig healers please do. Im the only active one in guild since our main was called away on business.

No beastlords.

Swashbucklers get group stealth...very handy. They are pretty much the EQ2 version of the Rogue only you don't see thousands of them running around at level 10 with their epics.

38 bruiser and 38 defiler (two-box usually cause Veli is so busy atm) combo on Antonia. We kill shit dead.

Bruiser has 6 or 7 Masters.

I created mine and my wife made hers on nektulos. Said low population so hopefully they wont fuck that up for us.

Oh--which setting will magically lighten the environment up for me a little? in Warcraft it was an easy gamma adjustment but I havent found that setting yet in my quick scan of EQ2 controls.

Also, where the hell are these voices they bragged about? I havent heard the first voice yet other than the intro.

I saw something about different character models but havent found a way to download them yet.

The servers are being merged Wednesday, so what may be a low server today, won't be then.

Also, there are so many zones in EQ2, population numbers do not really matter.

Shit..I might just stop playing until after the merges then. I'm not about to get stuck on some laggy overcrowded shit server again like I did on WoW.

There is a gamma adjustment bar under lighting i believe under options.

Also make sure you check the additional voice-over downloads from the patcher to get all the effects.

Lag has never been a problem in EQ2 and I dont forsee it being a problem after the merges. I seriously wouldnt worry about population too much, you want to make sure youre on a server with a good amount of people to get groups and stuff anyway.

They are called 'Alternate models' or 'Alternate Appearance' now. They mostly suck I think but worht checking out.
