Your whole argument hinges on what the liberal media has tried to brainwash you with. They (Iraqis) know what will happen if we leave. Sure they have a protest here and there, but when they go back to their shantys they sit around goin "man I'm glad Americans don't take our horseshit serious...we're gonna be fucked when they leave, ya know? Pass me some more camel piss."
So anything that is against our being in Iraq must be liberal media brainwashing? Where are your sources for them wanting us to be here? If you want to argue that somone is wrong, present a decent argument as to why rather then just pulling somehting out of your ass.
Since when do I have to bring out facts to support my opinion? I can, in fact, probably go look myself and find facts to back up my side and your side. It become slike a "Is Elvis really dead?" type argument.
Facts won't change people's feelings here one iota. They aren't interested in them. They hate Bush so they're going to paint this godawful picture of the situation
I have spoken to SEVERAL folks that are coming back from over there, not to mention shitloads of documentation on the good we are doing and the public response, and what they have to say clearly contrasts what the fuck this bullshit media is trying to make you believe.
Old ass quote from last year-best I could find on short notice wrote:"Days ago I had met with the (Iraqi) prime minister at a meeting here in Washington and a number of senior officials, both religious and secular, and they told me the same story that we found this morning in the Iraqi/Baghdad press, which was that most Iraqis are concerned about an abrupt withdrawal from Iraq, because that would cause a collapse in their security system," Phares said.
Phares admitted that the country is "pretty much divided," but noted that no matter what Bush - or any other American president -- said, "the fundamentalists, the al-Qaida followers, the followers of Saddam Hussein ... they're going to be against them, they're going to be strongly against them."
That said, Phares told Robach that "the majority of Iraqis would like those forces to stay enough time to have their own force."

In the first season, Kiefer Sutherland, who plays the main character Jack Bauer, won a Golden Globe for his performances; Surnow and Cochran (the creators of the show) won an Emmy Award. In 2004, the show won the Golden Globe for Best Drama Series. 24 won Emmy Awards for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series, Outstanding Single-Camera Sound Mixing For A Series, Outstanding Casting For A Drama Series, and Outstanding Stunt Coordination. Kiefer Sutherland also picked up the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series in 2004 and 2006.

In a nutshell, it's about the Counter Terrorist Units, more specifically a person in it named Jack Bauers, response to a variety of threats over the course of 24 hours of a crisis.
IMO it's been the best show on TV for the last few years. If you are interested, start with season 1 and watch it.
Be warned, the show is digital crack. It's very addicting.
