I hate when women say that. It's so annoying. :-x Women who say that kind of thing shouldn't get involved in serious relationships.

wait till you get three toddlers. I fully understand when my wife says this.

I'm not talking about that Kahar... I'd understand that too. I'm talking about when you have a girlfriend (no kids) and all of sudden she pulls that line out of her rectum.

You might as well throw in the towel right now.

No, it just means you're smothering her and to give her some space. Just because you are dating that doesn't mean you own her every waking moment.

I think living with someone is a pretty vital part of the relationship..

I mean, if you get married without living together first, you're going to need to live with them the rest of your life, and if living with them sucks.. gg stuck.

You would think that makes sense. However, statistics have proven that if you live with someone before you get married, your chances of divorce increase substantially for some reason.

Hate to see that the only person who knows what they are talking about in this thread besides myself is Mindia.

I wonder, though.. do those statistics take into account how long couples have been together, etc? America is just a very different place now; people move fast as they can and don't take time to think of the whats or the whys.. they just do.

I think a lot of the divorce statistics are skewed and dont take into account a lot of information; 85% of statistics are made up, you know ;)

I think he means living with someone during INITIAL dating, as in just starting to. Thats arguably a pretty good point. Having a longstanding friendship to the person previously probably changes things, but I'd imagine living with someone before 'longterm relationship' status is really firm can lead to trouble.

I lived with Gidan during the initial dating process. We are still going with no end in sight.

With my ex, however, we didnt live together before we got married, so when I moved into his place after we were, it was a huge culture shock and I found out I couldnt live with a person like him. Our living personalities didnt mesh at all.

What people don't realize is that everyone is unique and you can't cookie cut a statement about 2 people you don't know, period.

Yes, it is the 'housemate' in my gallery. She already knows how I feel about her. She wasn't meant to find out initially, but my drunk friend accidently told her that I was falling for her. The next day she questioned me about it and I told her everything. That didn't cause any problems as we were both cool with that. At first I thought that her knowing might ruin any chance of us being together as I thought it was to soon. Now I'm confident that her knowing has only pulled us closer together.

By the way, she was looking at my profile on this forum board and clicked on the "posts by markarado" link. She found this and I let her read all of it. She thinks you guys are hilarious. She also told me what advice was good, and I completely agree with her.

And for the update... home run~!

Oh, and I'm in Malaysia because I love it here. I've been here for more than ten years. Eventually Penang, Malaysia became my home; and I have no intentions of leaving at this time in my life.

Right now I'm studying with American Intercontinental University (an online program) for my major in business administration.

Also, when I said that I feel that if I give her too much time and space that it will drive her away... Well she said that was completely off... She asked me why I thought that. I guess I don't know why!

I don't believe I have actually. Things are going great between us. We're still not 'together,' but at the same time we're getting much closer to each other.

So right now we live together, act like a couple, sleep in the same bed (atleast the last two nights we did), and are physicaly sexual with each other. I'm kinda confused as to how we're not actually in a relationship..... or are we?

Either way this is my dream girl and everything between us is awesome. I can't imagine things going better at this point than they already are.

I mentioned in my first post that I had just talked to her on the phone. After that phone call I felt like I needed to talk to her last night about everything, but when I brought it up she indirectly made it clear that she didn't want to talk about it. Instead she wants to just go with the flow and see what happens, which I'm very happy about.

I think that not letting things just 'happen' is what often ruins things. I often feel that I need to talk to her about everything when really I just need to let it go.

Hey Markarado, what's the food like over in Malaysia? I like a lot of different kinds of ethnic foods. So far Indian food is my favorite.
