I 100% support portugal if they play agaisnt England (only because of Ronaldo) but the upcoming match i'm having high doubts. ENgland might win.. 2 red cards, injury.. sigh.. Poor portugal..

England really is one of the top 4 teams in the world cup. They have actually been playing like shit for much of it. If they actually get themselves together for the last few games, I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the finals.

well that has to be one of the worst calls I have ever seen. How do you get a penalty shot on an obvious dive to end a game. He did everything he could to fall down on that play. Italy probably would have won in the end, but to have them win on a last second penalty shot was complete BS. I hope italy gets to the Semi Finals and gets burried by Germany.

I lost count of the dives the italians took in that game, and so many of them they got the call on.

The referee in that game was horrendous.

As a soccer player, I have to admit that the PK on the dive was a horrible way to win the game. As an Italian, I say that Australia had a man advantage on a bullshit red card and lost because they couldn't score and let Italy push on offense at the end of the game. I've seen Azzuri lose to PKs after outplaying a team so maybe this was Karma.

Ukraine just beat Switzerland on penalty kicks. The right team won, really. Ukraine carried the play for much of the game, Switzerland had no flair on the attack whatsoever. Switzerland depended on their defense, which was excellent, but it wasn't enough.

So, both me and Kalec are no longer 100%, we both missed one. I said Australia'd beat Italy, he said Switzerland would beat the Ukraine.

Honestly, Italy should be ashamed of how they won, though. Dive like that to draw a PK to win it? Yeesh. rofl

Brazil stomped Ghana, no surprise. Ghana played well from what I saw, it's just Brazil is just on an entirely different level.

France beat Spain though, which surprised the hell out of me. They deserved to win, too. They carried the play for a lot of the game, despite looking fairly awful at times in the first round.

Now, of course, France is gonna get its ass whupped by Brazil.

I feel Ghana played damn well. They had possesion of the ball more than Brazil did. but WHY must they try to shoot most of the attempts to score far and long range balls. Brazil was a different level but they didn't play thier best. i SWORE Ronaldo was REALLY offside! But they still made me win some "Ka-ching~" $$$

France suprised me too! I expected Spain to win..

Many teams try to score long range against brazil because they defense in the box is all but unstopable. The only weakness brazil has, if you can call it a weakness would be against long shots. You should probably call it the least of their stregths rather then a weakness. I honestly dont think their is a team in the World Cup that can beat Brazil on top of their game.

Ronaldo has this perpetual smirk on his face that makes me want to slap him.
