The Store Manager for the Home Depot I worked at was a cashier 5 years before.

From 7.25/hr to Salary in 5 years is pretty nice.

Given a choice between more governmental oversight/control and more corporate control,
I vote corporate -- let the market regulate itself -- as far as I can tell, there's
still plenty of healthy competition among broadband service providers, and my best vote
is still cast with the almighty dollar. In my view, there's more to lose when the
government gets involved. Don't go fucking up a good thing by bureaucratizing and
regulating it even further than it already is.

I don't have any great love for megacorporations -- but megacorporations can battle
each other for my business. If the government makes the rules, and they're rules
I don't like, then I'm "stuck". Having choices is a good thing.
