It all comes down to the reasons for which you want to get married. The meaning behind it all, yanno? Truth is, marriage, next to child rearing, is the ultimate in sacrifice. Until you really understand what marriage means to you deep down in your heart, and you really know why you want to do it, don't do it. Same goes for your partner.
It's a fuckton easier to go into marriage than it is to get out of it.
Don't rush it, take your time, and don't feel pressured to make the decision. If he loves you, truly loves you, he will understand and let you take all the time you need. V knows your past. He of all people should be most understanding about this subject.
