He's getting way too much blame for a game in which his team was overmatched and his OC and running backs didn't help him enough at all.

He didn't play well, but he isn't responsible for this loss in my opinion. I doubt if Griese were in there the result would've been any different. Probably worse since I doubt Brian could've made the zinger to Mohammed that Rex did.

Very Very good post. I agree 100%

(Jesus i hate defending Rex)

The fact that Grossman is better than Griese or Orton doesn't change the fact that he sucks humongous cock. If someone said "Rex Grossman single handedly killed the Bears chance for victory" I'd say hell no. Again my point, "Rex Grossman sucked a fat cock at the Super Bowl." He played poorly. Whether coaching put him in that situation or not the result of his talent as a QB produced a negative effect in accordance to the play. Bernard Berrian could have been hit with that ball. He was open. Period. Rex botched it. Whether that's a tough throw or not, he threw it the worst way he could've thrown it. He aborted the ball and fumbled twice. That's not coaching. That's butterfingers and bad pocket playing. Yes, he started a good drive at 11 min in. He made some good plays, but he still played poorly and fucked up when the team needed him most. Again, he's instrumental in the loss but no, he's not the only reason the Bears' lost.
