If not Dallas I could see the Spurs winning again.
Spurs is the the third seed.

They sucked in that game and I really needed em.
The funny thing is if Moe doesn't hit that miracle three pointer off of Ruffins odd ball heave (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIzDsYHZvDU ) Washington doesn't drop below New Jersey.
It's almost like this NJ vs TOR thing is destined to happen.

It's Vince Carter destiny. You guys better fear him.

So much for the Warriors being just happy to be there and having no chance to win. They take Game 1 97-85.
Vonkaar must be imploding right about now.

Baron Davis was a stud in the game. I am surprise that Dallas didn't pound it inside against the Warriors' small line up.

Gloden State in a sweep!
I was laughing watching that game. GS had more emotion and played at a higher level with much less talent. Outside of Howard, the mavs looked like they were just going through the motions to me.
San Antoion and Dallas both lose game 1. Who'd a thunk.

Meh...
I'm not worried for either series. Dallas missed like, 15 open shots... layups... It was very unusual. But, sometimes teams just play poorly. Hopefully we'll wake up and play right, I'd hate to see a repeat of the Houston series 2 years back.
Also, Baron Davis was playing out of his freaking mind. I'm a big fan of his, always have been... but he's just not capable of games like that on a regular basis. Those back to back 3s were impossible shots. He seriously looked like Nash out there (in regards to how he was shredding our offense).

Dallas was it's own worst enemy yesterday. Barkley hit it on the head with his halftime analysis. Dallas needs to play their brand, and not let Nelson get inside their heads.
Still, can't argue GS's success with Dallas. Wouldn't it be neat if they won game 2...

There would have been a third upset in the west if Kobe and the Lakers didn't pull a major choke job in the fourth quarter.

It was a great game though.
The playoffs so far have been great. Aside from Cleveland and Detroit, all the series are competitive. We'll likely see atleast one upset maybe two in the first round and that NEVER happens.

Yeah, all the games I've been watching have been good.
Clevelands game one was great, but you never know which Cavs team will show up so that series is far from over, too.
I didn't see the Toronto game, but a lot of the experts aren't saying good things about the Raptors. While I like to tweak Zan, I hope they pull it out.

This is the reason we watch basketball... The playoffs are so good.
I'll say that the NHL has the best playoffs, but... being a bigger NBA fan balances it out. Even better, these are some of the best matchups (around the whole league) that I've seen in years. Every team besides Washington will at least make it interesting.

And Washington WOULD have made it interesting if they weren't missing 2 of their best and most important players. (especially Arenas)

That's what we want them to say.

Some of the matchups are good, but it's not the same thing.
Hockey raises its game and intensity to match the playoffs. The NBA does not.

I disagree.
Hockey playoffs are great, but the NBA is just as good IMO.

Hey, I was saying that I think the NHL has the best format... I'm just a HUGE fan of basketball so they are 'equal' in my eyes..
and it doesn't really matter because March Madness > *

Phoenix is beating the fuck out of L.A.
inside defense is surprisingly effecient, forcing kobe to play outside and miss
