This made me giggle snort really badly.
Gyps..people here care about you. As much as someone from the internet can. You, like me, do not post the WHOLE backstory, and we only here snippets and it causes red flags to go up.
Don't get frustrated, you should be flattered.

I'm the only one who voted no because I'm too lazy to take a second job. Live it up. Don't worry about the money.

Work visa's are a bitch. Anywhere else in Asia I could get one no problem. In Malaysia I either have to be 25 with special skills or start my own company. The only thing I can do here at the moment is modeling, which I have done a bit of.

I'm not worried about the money!! Oy =p
When I went to school full time I worked 2 jobs.. it isn't like it'd be anything new for me. At any rate, I told my boss I would do it but that he needed to hightail it finding someone new

Well, with special skills, doesnt that mean you have to be good at something, Markado? I dont think I would buy whatever your modeling.

Maybe he has a hot girlfriend who he lives with and he lives off his trust fund, too!

I'm not buying the "don't need the money". Everyone could use a few extra bucks, especially considering the circumstances you are in. I work up to 3 jobs depending on workload to try to help ends meet so I say go for it. You can always save the money up and go on vacation or something.

ah but he's lived in Malaysia for years, that wouldn't be excusable at that point! Plus we all know his gfs cheat on him.
And Toss, I can see where you're coming from - but 'need' is much different than 'it'd be nice to have'

Yes, but it's much easier to get into Malaysia. He didn't actually need an anchor girlfriend for that!

But I reckon that would rule out the theory of living with a girlfriend!

Oh. well, I figured that was assumed what with Marks new found 'modeling' career, no?

You guys are fuckers ~ .... I'm not a model. I said that I've only done a bit of modeling. That was three jobs over a period of two years. I never had a portfolio made or anything of the sort. I was approached by people for these jobs. I'm not sitting here saying I'm model material. I just happen to be one of very few YOUNG white guys living in Penang Malaysia.
Most foreigners in Malaysia are either school kids or working adults 30+.
Yes, to get a work visa I would have to be good at something. I have my skill sets, but nothing that stands out or is useful enough to make me eligable for a work visa.
I never said that I was going to be working for a big company with a high profile position making tons of cash. At the time I had an employer of a VERY small company wanting me to sell biodegradable and compostable plastics in Asia. I educated myself on the industry and the products the company offered. I then found customers. At that time I found out that A) The production of the products can't meet the demand B) My employer/boss was offering me shit support. When I went to my boss with questions he took 2 weeks to respond. As a result I lost my customers and moved on to looking for new opportunities.
If all had gone as I hoped I'd probably be doing pretty good by now. Bash me as much as you'd like. I'm young, not married, and have no kids - it's a good time of my life to try out opportunities with high potential. Currently I'm working on something else... which I'm rather optimistic about... hope all goes well =)
My last girlfriend did cheat on me. I didn't know at the time. I didn't know until several months after we broke up. I had heard shit but I chose to give her the benefit of the doubt and trust her. Is that so wrong? So yah, I got hurt in the end. That's part of life, and I learned valuable lessons from that piece of shit relationship. Over the course of the last year I dated several girls, but none ended up going anywhere. I now have a girlfriend that I've been dating for a little over a month, and all is going well so far.
Thanks for being so interested in my life!

Which is better than working through your youth, and still having to work for the people 15-20 years younger who got the Ivy League education~
