meh, I'm awfully proud of the sunglasses I picked out! he's been looking for a pair for 2 years because he doesn't like how his face suits them, and I found a pair that looks damn good without having his face there to try them on. what a shame I couldn't find them in the $6 range that I usually buy mine in >.<

cram it up your cramhole, lefleur!

She knows it. And I also know what a raving liberal lunatic she is. We laugh about it. She used to work for that assclown Michael Dukakis for cryin out loud.

I wouldn't say picky, Gaazy, it's just one of those things that needs to fit right. when I say 2 years, I mean sporadic.. not like, looking in the store every week or month. some people don't suit hats, he doesn't suit most sunglasses.

oh, congrats Mindia. baffles me how that works out with you two, especially as politically interested as you are. I don't think I could ever manage a relationship with someone on the opposite spectrum as me, simply because our views on virtually everything would be so different - political beliefs relate back so much to how you feel about the world, personal issues, life in general. friends of mutiple different beliefs I have, but I don't know if I could do it in a relationship - I think we'd fight all the time! big congrats to you mister =)

I've talked to Mindia a few times and I have to say that he's not as politically influenced as he is on the board. It's more of an overexageration of how he really is, which is just some normal dude. He more or less gets a chuckle out of drawing ire out of the NT folk. Despite that, I am surprised at the fact you're with a liberal chick, but hey, I've seen weirder.

PS - Hi Gyps.

Hehe yeah Im just fucking with you Gyp. I know some people who are compulsive with their sunglasses though. I, personally, cant keep a pair. they get torn up or broken at work so much that it would be just stupid to buy an expensive pair

man i had that problem. i'd go through sunglasses like a motherfucker til i bought some ray bans and i've had those things for like 7 years now. i guess once you spring for the expensive stuff you start taking better care of it or somethin

I had a pairof Serengetti's (sp?) in high school and those 160$ pair lasted about 2 weeks until I lost them into the ocean looking at that battleship thing or whatever it is in Charleston, SC ( i think it was charleston? I dont even remember). I just remember looking over the catwalk at some sharks or some other fish eating beaneath it, and bam, fish food. the fish even ate them too =(

Then I bought a pair of Smith's that were like 120 one year and those were gone to the ski mountain somewhere.

After that I gave the fuck up. Most of the time I have to wear safety glasses anyways rofl

You are like me with watches.
I have never been able to keep a wrist watch longer than a week before I either broke it or lost it. I hate wearing them to boot, but I've had a couple really nice ones that I honestly tried to take good care of, all to no avail (18K gold, filigree embossed with an emerald inset in the face b-day present - 2nd wearing, broke the chain band, scratched the shit out of the cover, then promptly lost it completely when I got home... I never found it ).
I gave up trying to ever keep one.

I have resorted to keeping a pocketwatch in my purse when I carry one, and just use my cellphone as my watch otherwise lol

Thanks Gyps. We agree on some things and disagree on others, whether we're talking about fiscal, or social issues. Bottom line is that she's my best friend and I love her. So, it is possible to not fight all the time. :P

Actually watches are one thing I can keep. I dont own anything nice because i think its pretty stupid buying rolex's and all that shit (no offense Jay  ) because they all tell time the same way. Ive got a eco drive thingy Citizen watch that my dad bought me for high school graduation thats pretty nice, but i never wear it. My daily watch is an old plain stainless steel fossil watch. Its so beat up, scratched up and knocked up that if you dont hold it at the right angle you cant read it. Where its always hard to tell what im going to be into at work, it would be just dumb for me to wear a nice one lol. Sticking your hand up between dirty steel frames or motor frames covered in grit grime and coal dust tends to wear a watch out pretty fast

I'm with you on sunglasses - I'm the same way, man.. I lose them or break them all the time. I can hardly keep track of my keys, much less sunglasses. I can't remember the last time I spent more than 7 bucks on a pair for myself. he, on the other hand, takes meticulous care of his stuff.

I'm happy for you, Mindia! I'd just avoid your house like the plague come election season, haha

don't you change into different clothes when you get off work? i never wear anything nice to work, because like you, i know i'll break it or fuck it up. i save the nice stuff for when i go out to dinner or go visit friends etc

it's like pool cues. i bought a mcdermott because i want a lifetime warranty on one of the best cues money can buy so i don't have to fuck around buying new cues every few years or have shitty cues lyin around. but when i go to the bars i use their standard hustlers because i know a $400 cue inevitably be ruined at a bar

Grats Mindia.
lol at Hooter. He still posts here and is still pathetic.

I cant keep watches OR sunglasses. Gid bought a pretty Fossil for me, scratched the fuck out of the face the 3rd of 4th time I wore it. I put it away for fix at a later date, battery is dead and I dont feel like searching for a stupid Fossil store. I use my phone now.
Sunglasses....well, I bought a cheap pair at some gas station on our drive home from CT, I lost them somewhere in the car DURING the drive.

For Christmas, I got:
GPS thing
pretty necklace
gigantic black bag which I adore
Across the Universe on Bluray
Couple books for myself
2 vouchers for movie tickets to a theater we dont have in TX and didnt use while we were up there
Guitar Hero...uh that new one..with another guitar. Fuck the whole band shit.
Drunk
5lb added to my ass.....freaking Italians and the need to make everyone eat everything.

I gave some books to some of his family, couple Blurays to go to his parents since his dad was getting a PS3, computer memory stick drive thing to one of his brothers, and a micro memory card for his other brothers phone. Gift cards to the +1s that attended. And regifted the movie tickets to his brothers and his girlfriend.
