To be fair, Mindia, what he's saying is right. Out in the public it's usually said that way, but that's not at all how the scientific community describes it.

Basically, we're all primates. Millions of years ago, we did share a common ancestor. Gorillas, chimpanzees and suchlike didn't exist back then any more than we did.

Anyway, I know you don't believe that, so I'm not going to go into all the explanation of it. But it's true, nothing at all in evolutionary theory tries to claim humans in any way descended from modern apes.

I've heard for years that certain people believe that "man evolved from apes." It was always very laughable to me.

well, no shit
man didn't evolve from modern apes you retard
if you go back far enough tho, there is a common ancestor

Retard, the generally accepted theory by certain individuals is that "man evolved from apes." I merely repeated that common tag line. Don't attack the messenger.
Furthermore, here's some education for you: http://www.geocities.com/timothy_ah/God11.html

Who are these certain individuals?

Also cong on linking a Geocities page to back up your claim haha!

Generally when I hear it discussed, the common things I head from people apposed to evolution is "Humans did not evolve from apes" while when I talk to someone who actually understand the theories and the topic in general never say "Humans evolved from apes". This statement "Humans did not evolve from apes" is 100% accurate, we did not evolve from apes. All primates do however share a common ancestry. Most people I know who do not believe in evolution are people who do not understand the theory at all and will not actually bring themselves to learn about it before making their judgments. If you want to criticize the theory of evolution, at least take the time to really study the theories so that you can intelligently discuss why you think its wrong other then the bible says so.

When I had this discussion with my cousin, she slapped her hands over her ears and yelled "I DID NOT COME FROM MONKEYS!!"
I feel thats what Mindia is doing, more or less.

I, also, want to cong you on linking a Geocities site.

i think stephen hawkings is famous for showing that eventually black holes evaporate.

Sorry, I stopped getting my education from geocities during the 90's. Didn't they shut that site down? lol

Yeah, who knows if they're evaporating or just popping up elsewhere for whatever reason. We still don't know what the shit is happening on that front really, we just observe some crazy shit. Like things coming OUT of black holes.

Like those sneaky particles existing in two places at once...wtf. We're so clueless it's great. Every 10 years we change how we view the universe on a grand scale. (I plan on taking some physics just for the fuck of it when I get back from AIT)

i don't think any things have been observed coming out of black holes...but here's a pretty cool 13 year animation of the center of the milky way with stars orbiting the supermassive black hole sagittarius a*

no, harrison is correct

I can't remember off the top of my head if it was a specific type of radiation, or whatnot, but there was definitely something that was observed coming out of a black hole

yeah, hawking radiation (as in stephen hawking) but it hasn't been observed, it is theorised. the sites of black holes can be strong x-ray sources but that's emitted from material orbiting and falling into the black hole, not from the black hole itself.
