Hmmm i wonder how Sony goes about deciding who is a guide i swear they just pick a person outta the damn list that they get of applicants. About 6 months back or so a friend of mine was fuking around and just kept copy/pasting his application like 6 times and he got in on his final application, he came back then next day and told me he was gonna be working on ralloz zek etc.. etc.. etc... Dont get me wrong he was a good guy and proly ownz as a guide but point is... they proly just choose any dumbfuck that apply's enough times.

The applications go to a grading team. You have to get so many points, and the guide who reads the application will also rate you based on the attitude that you show on your application. They also change the test often.

I applied once, I made it ( like 3 years ago). Guided for like 2 months (it sucked badly) then got free EQ for like 8 months before they finally kicked me out.

You CAN NOT be a guide on the server you played on, or ever played on.

When you are a guide, you get diddly and squat for spells, you dont need them. You get all this cool armor that does stuff like rez gloves, levitate shoes, speed pants, shrink collar, etc etc. Oh, and your weapon gates. Thats it. You can not even attack an animal. I mean you could, but with those duel weilding swords, with no dps you might hit for 1 here and there, although you can always /kill a mob, but then its unlootable.

I always loved having to reset vendors. Basically, you would walk up to them and hit them once, and have them follow you back to where they are supposed to be, then use your ring or bracers, I forget to wipe their memory and try to buy from them. THey would never allow you to buy if you were attacking them, and those fuckers hit hard and fast. My first guide was an erudite enchantress. I always got my ass kicked in guide duels.

I don't understand why anyone would volunteer to be a customer service rep, even if its in a gameworld with the semblance of power.

Customer Service is the bottom of the barrel of life. No thanks.

May as well just go spend time working McDonalds Drive Through.

I enjoyed it. I got put on a very old server, that had way less problems than The Nameless. I got to guide for free, and all my expansions were free. I got to know some really great people who worked at Sony, it wasn't that bad at all.

How much does a 90 day game card go for in plat on Nameless, anyway? I received one as a gift and don't need it as I pay every 6 months and it just comes off my check card.
