Well the Yankees/Diamonbacks are talking again, and sources say they are VERY close to a deal that would send Randy Johnson to the yankees in exchange for Javier Vazquez, prospects and a "Large" sum of cash.
As for the Beltran sweepstakes it looks like he is choosing between Houston and drum roll please.........................the Yankees.
Yankees have offered him more money, and Beltran was extremely impressed after his meeting with Steinbrenner. ESPN states that the Yankees will more than likely get Beltran.
If Beltran and Johnson go to the Yankees, their payroll would jump to around 220 Million dollars for next year.
The yankees just wound up paying more in luxury tax (around 40 milllion), than the entire Devil Rays payroll from last year.

Roberto Alomar is close to signing a 1-year $500,000 contract with the Cards. I think he still has a year or two left.

Indians have a good young line-up. They might repeat what they did in the mid 90's in a few.

Well looks like the Indians are going to be bringing Shuey back... not sure how effective he's gonna be - I just hope he doesn't hurt this thumb again lol.
I used to watch the Mudhens play in Toledo - now I am forced to watch the Sand Gnats down here... minors are ok, but I hate the Braves and refuse to drive 4 hours to watch them play...
Soooo, sinse I live so friggen far away I'll have to follow the Tribe on tv and in the papers.
