Here are some tips to help sleeping problems, ( I used to have a major sleep problem)
-Use your bed for sleep and unf unf, don't watch tv or read or sit and talk for 30 min, ask stacy I yell at her sometimes when she does this.
- Relax before bed, find 10 min before bed to unwind, take a bath, sit and relax something not moving around and running your mind like crazy.
- Before you get ready to go to bed spend 5 min writting a to do list for the next day, this will help those thoughts from racing around in your head while you are laying down.
-Don't consume caffine after 5 pm if you are really sensitive to it, dont take any after 2pm
- Don't eat sugary shit before bed ( desserts)
-Find 30 min a day to get in some sort of activity- this helps a ton, the more you do the more you will sleep.
- Try and get a regular sleep schedule every day. even on the weekends try and wake up and sleep around the same time - seriously this helps your body regulate melatonin release.
- Get a white noise machine it will help with random noises in the night.
- Men have sex, women don't right before bed- for some of you ( finawin this should be easy)
-If you can't fall asleep in 20 min get up and go to a different room and try to relax, don't do anything that makes your brain function. Sit in a warm bath or watch something realtivy boring on TV, (Not a horror movie)

Working their 4 jobs so they can pay their 8000 dollar a month rent for the one bedroom shack they live in. Ohh, and so they can by a loaf of 40 dollar bread once a week.

We decided last night he will try those snoring thingies that go across your nose, and I'm going to try earplugs. My only worry is that I won't hear my alarm. I've never heard of sleep apnia, but I'm going to look it up. He is a bigger guy, but we attribute at least part of it to his horrible allergies which leave him stuffed up.
I don't eat foods with added sugar, and the sugar I do get is in natural form like carrots or a rare apple. I don't consume caffeine at all expect the small amounts in my green tea, which I only drink before noon. Besides my green and herbal tea, the only beverage I consume is water, and I drink a ton of it.
My sleeping schedule is pretty steady. I go to bed between 11:30 and 12:30 every night and am up between 7:30-8:30 every morning, even weekends. I couldn't sleep in on weekends if I wanted to. Yoga starts promptly at 9:30 and the weekend classes are the best.

Sleep apnia I believe is when you stop breathing when sleeping.

Taxx has sleep apnea. It is scary stuff. He would be breathing normally, and start snoring lightly, then he would stop breathing all together, sometimes for a minute or more at a time. Then a REALLY deep intake, very loud. It was very scary. Sometimes he would stop breathing for so long, I would have to shake him to wake him up.

Kar - Go get Dave a Sleep Study. I know he will probably put up a fight on it but nag him to death. It is critical. Snoring like that is a sign of sleep apnea. He needs to be tested. It is no joke. Sleep Apnea does cause all sorts of health issues and yes.. even death. Just getting one of those nose plugs may not resolve the issue.
Mart - I hear you on the unf unf waking you up more. It always makes me more alert as well. Guys sleepy hormone kicks in and in our case we just get the blood flowing and are ready to go run a marathon.. so not fair.
I do notice that I sleep much better when I am working out regularly, eating healthy, relax before bedtime, and weigh less. Things I notice that cause difficulty sleeping:
- stress
- not relaxing before bed
- being at higher weights/overweight (back pain, hard to get in comfy postition, snore more)
- allergies/congestion
Sex in the morning and during the day roxors~

My dad's a skinny guy, so he's not exactly in the high-risk demographic for s.a., but the problem developed gradually to the point where he was completely whiped out during the day because he just wasn't getting his REM's.
After like 4 months of progressively worsening sleep, and problems related to sleep deprivation, mom convinced him to have a sleep study done. Doctor diagnosed him with s.a. (duhhh), and scheduled him for a UPPP(uvulopalatopharyngoplasty... say that three times fast).
It's amazing how a 15-minute prodecure can improve one's quality of sleep and life. Aside from a raw throat for a few days afterward, the relief was immediate.
Like Mop said, if your men hesitate, don't let them get away with being such pussies. Sleep study is nothing, and the UPPP (if necessary), is on par with a trip to the dentist's for time and invasiveness.
Besides, it's for their own damn good (not to mention your own, if you have to sleep within earshot of them).
