I enjoyed high school. I have no angsty memories, no lingering grudges. Sounds like a few people here would've been better off with us losers.

So, Lumpy - what varsity sport were you in again? Was it staircase surfing or pie eating? I don't remember anyone getting a varsity letter for being a fatass and falling down stairs because they're too weak to walk them like an average person is able to. Your school might have been different, though.

I loathed the school system itself. I didn't loathe the experiences and fun I had while doing whatever the hell I wanted in that school. I was basically given free reign to do whatever the fuck I wanted as long as I kept out of trouble, continued to play Football, and taught the VB class.

I wasn't so much trying to defend myself in particular as pointing out that we geeky types don't need to allow ourselves to be walked on, nor should we be ashamed of what we enjoy.

Track isn't a sport, it's a government funded preperation for a life of crime and running from the police.

LOL - I'm not defensive at all. I just find it humorous that some great varsity football star couldn't walk a flight of stairs without passing out.

You must have been some sight to see on the field.

I have nothing to BE defensive about regarding my highscool tenure... unlike you, I was able to balance my sports and my academics and avoid being booted out. Not only was I varsity sports, I was top of the class. Colleges WANTED me... I could have gone on sports scholarships or on academics.

The only defensiveness I have is having some ghetto dropout trash like yourself trying to compare himself to me. Lumpy - honestly... if you want to try to act superior than people, that's fine... but pick your battles. You comparing yourself to me is like Mindia comparing himself to Isaac Newton. It's insulting that you would think you could be even half the person that I was, am, and will continue to be in the future.

However, I *am* proud of you - you dropped the hint in another thread that you finally got a job. It's good to see you putting that GED to work for you... to bad you'll never be much more than that. But we all know how the evil system worked against you and how you're a victim, right?

I was the nerd that all the jocks beat up on. Of course most of them are now picking up my trash from the curb on Monday morning. The only subject that I had problems with was Algebra. most of my grades were B's and C's but I never scraped anything higher than a C- in Algebra. The main reason was I could come up with the answer but I could not show my work properly...Just a little bit of random hen scratching. Hated that fucking subject.

THat reminds me of a movie, 13 going on 30. The guy she wanted to be with that was the big jock in school was a taxi cab driver. That was a cute movie.
