nobody wants someone else's leftovers

go be a muslim

are you retarded? or just don't know the difference between between leftovers, and someone ready for a new relationship

Araby I do understand why you were questioning me about it. Arlos pretty much hit right on it for the most part. She was in a bad marriage, and finally kicked him out of her house 4 months ago, and immediately filed for divorce... except he is refusing to sign the papers for some reason. He doesn't want her back either, and apparently he's just being a dickhead about signing the papers. I'm not holding anything against Kristin, and I'm not looking at this too much from a religious standpoint, because we're not having sex.

I would just like the divorce to be finalized before we get too deep into the relationship. We went out again last night, and also today. I really enjoy spending time with her. She feels the same way about me as I do about her, so we're headed in the right direction at least.

mindia it sounds pretty healthy to me. if you guys are taking it slow ANYWAY...then it's going to make you feel even better if it continues to go well and you're still taking it slow, through all this. good luck to you, I can see how the situation makes you feel uncomfortable but she sounds like she knows what she wants. And I don't think that you're a "rebound" guy in the negative notation...usually that means something bad and this lady doesn't seem to be using you in that manner. If so, she'd already have slung herself onto your bed. unless she already has and you didn't tell us that. and there is nothing wrong with you guys not having sex yet. take as long as you can to get there-makes it all the better.

Thanks Araby. No, we haven't had sex... we held hands (she took my hand hehe) and we kissed, but that's it. She is a very nice person, and I do hope it all works out. I don't understand why her ex doesn't want to sign the papers though. It's just unnecessary drama.

5 bucks says Mindia is being taken for a rebound and nothing more. She's separated and not even officially divorced yet. Highly doubtful she wants a relationship right now. She's more than likely after someone to make her feel wanted for a while... once she settles down Mindia will be history... and he wont even have gotten any ass out of it.

Laugh if you want... you're a rebound and don't even see it. Which shows me just how inexpereinced with women you really are. You'll learn. In time.

Mindia, does she know you're an asshole yet? That might be a hurdle in your relationship.

There's a very high chance you're going to end up as the rebound guy (it sucks). If you don't then congrats to you ...... Good luck... I'm single and staying that way for a while.. kinda scared of women lol...

Divorce is an abomination in the Catholic church, Mindia and his new woman are going to hell.

If he is honest (which being a rightwinger is probably unlikely) - he'll be here in a couple of weeks, maybe a month or saying "Diekan you were right, I was just being used as a rebound to make her feel that she was still desirable while going through this shit... now she's done with me and actually fucking someone else - and I didn't get any ass out of it!"

But, he wont. He'll lie and tell us all how wonderous their relationship is.. haha and ha.

There are fees associated with divorce (as you would know). Maybe he's broke?

Actually, Diekan is probably right.

Well, except for the no sex thing.

I'm not bitter. I'm just point out a fact of life that he's refusing to accept. Is there a chance she's on the up and up? Sure, it's a slight chance however. Chances are he's a rebound and nothing more - and to completely ignore that and not prepare yourself just incase is stupid - but then again look who we're talking about.

very slight chance.......paper thin..hell, that's giving it too much credit.

You get burned enough by women that seem to be normal and sane on the surface, and turn out to be raving psychotic bundles of issues 2-3 months in, and you get jaded and cynical.

In my youth, I was a lot more idealistic, believed in the hype of "love will conquer all", "everyone has a soulmate out there", etc. I have since been disabused of such fantasies, rather messily and thoroughly at that.

While I certainly don't hate women, and have a number of women who're friends, even good friends, my capacity for trust when it comes to statement of emotions & feelings on a romantic level is extremely limited, and you can be damn sure I'm going to be far far more careful about letting myself fall for someone than I did when I was 21.

Not that I know Diekan very well, but I'd be more than willing to suspect he's been through some similar events with a couple relationships that have eresulted in serious emotional scarring, and thus has a far more realistic (some might call it cynical) view of relationships.

I was dating my girlfriend before her divorce was finalized. Granted, she is only 27 and she married a college boyfriend on an impulse and realized he was a psycho. But our relationship works great, we've been dating for a year and I'm shopping for a ring. :dunno:
