DO a search on several different sites and the above post I think you'll find to be spot on,,, there is a breed that was designed from the start for this type of hunting and its the DOGO from south america,,, you can find a few breeders down Texas way,, your going to need a pack any way, you never want to sent just one dog after a pig
the guys who mentioned pitbulls basically said they got em from the pound cause it didn't matter if the pigs killed them or not

Yea I read all about the dogo actually after reading that. It might be bred for it but that doesnt make it the only dog in the world that is good for hogs. I think it would make a nifty pet too. All IM tryin to say is the pit isnt all that bad , can make a good pet and does have legit perposes for being alive. The pit arguement is a lot like guns, drugs and abortion. No one ever changes anybodies mind and everyone thinks they know what they are sayin.
Gaaz most of the people on there arent all that wacky but they do tend to sound like minda in the politics section. Can actually learn some useful things there.

I read part of that thread. It even says what most have been trying to say here the whole time, as a reason for using them against hogs. They are vicious bad asses by nature.

I don't think anyone is really disagreeing that the breed is more violent by nature than your average breed, but that it's the way they're treated that brings that violence out - because of the assumed nature of the breed, *people* make them worse. I don't think at birth that there's any such thing as an evil animal, except in some rare cases; I think that an animal with a violent nature can be trained to keep it in check if it's brought up in a loving environment - killing the breed off because it's just assumed that they're all evil isn't the answer, though. It also isn't feasible.. people would find a way to keep their dogs - the people who really care about them, anyway.

Such a Cutie
Even Cuter
I had a pit bull and the only thing she ever did mean was climb up in your lap because she thought she was light haha. She was built like a brick shit house and was the sweetest dog ever.
Dogs are a lot like people, there are always going to be bad apples, but that doesn't been you should exclude a whole breed/race.

This thread disappoints me. Not one Michael Vick reference.

Pitbulls are worthless dogs. If you want security, you can buy a German Shep that'll protect you just as well and you don't have to worry about it killing the neighbors dog or your next house guest.
