I didn't care for Smokin' Aces but since your lady friend isn't in it that shouldn't offend you.

I caught her!! It was natalie!! I clapped my hands really loud and yelled NO about ten times and continued to follow her around the apartment as she ran from me...
I hope it worked.

If you had done the same to any cat, would it have not responded in kind?

I have no idea what you just said.
She just tried to do it again. I watched her go into my room, squat and I yelled "NATALIE" and she hauled ass running. I chased her. Then I couldn't find her and the next time I saw her she was on top of the kitchen cabinet..and I looked at her and said "NATALIE WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO PEE ON MY BED" and she looked at me and ran. She knows what she's doing. She's not sick. She is a little shit. I went to the fridge just now to get water and thought of getting rid of her. Then I felt bad.
what the hell am I gonna do with her??

Don't presume to know what's going on in another animal's head. That's as fucking ridiculous as trying that on a human.

So we just had a little heart to heart.
I stared into her eyes and told her that I do not appreciate her trying to pee on my bed. I said, "I feed you, take care of you and let you sleep with me..so you're peeing on your bed, too. Don't pee on the bed. Want me to take you to the litter box and show you where you're supposed to pee? You want me to treat you like a little kitten?"
Then I picked her up and took her to the litter box and put her in it. If this doesn't fix it, something might be wrong with her. but I don't think there is anything wrong with her. I think it's a territorial thing...when my son is here she acts funny and won't sleep with me. We'll see.

Why did you give your cat a person name?

by leah
i love animals with people names hehe . . . i used to have a cat named kevin, and josh and i named our new bearded lizard dave :D

That's just weird.

hah yeah i know. i've never claimed to be normal, though. :P
as an aside, dave is absolutely awesome. he's really cute and fun to hold, although he's a quick little fella so i'm kind of scared he's going to jump out of my hand and run away sometime :S
on a similar note, we bought a plastic ball for our hamster and last night she was running around in it and ended up rolling herself down the stairs. fcking noob. :P

Yea, they do that.
It's fun when the poop when they're running around in the hamster ball and you can hear it rattling inside.
Hamsters are awesome...

haha the other day she was running around and pooped and it got stuck on her fur for a couple minutes lol . . . seriously, she's a freaking moron. but really really cute. she's used the ball maybe five times and i think it's in need of a high-power wash now. come to think of it, so is she.

What type of names do you give your pets then, Zan?

there is a song by The Killers on Hot Fuss and it's called "Believe Me Natalie" and my kitten needed a name at the time so that is what I named her.
she slept with me last night..didn't pee on me...and today I closed my bedroom door when I left for work.

I usually give them silly names inspired by Movies and TV shows like Autolycus and stuff like that.
Regular people names is odd, unless it's Captain Jean-Luc Picard. That is the best animal name ever, because it is the best name ever.

speaking of movie and tv inspired pet names.. here's a picture of our new kitten Momo - we should've gotten some when she was littler but we didn't realize she'd grow so fast! she's only 3 months old; there's more in the gallery <img src="http://namelesstavern.net/album_pic.php?pic_id=1950>

they're definitely big enough to grab! she has 6 toes on the front 2, supercat with opposable thumbs.

all the more to scratch you with - ah, kittens. I'm tore up! the pup took a claw right to the eye the other day and didn't even whimper, just went back to acting like she was a chew toy. it's hilarious.. she'll hide behind the couch when he isn't looking and do this booty shake followed by an insane vertical twist pounce then bolt to the other side of the house, he doesn't even have a chance to see what was coming! they're youtube worthy; one of these days I'll get them!

We adopted a new puppy this weekend:
http://www.k9rescueleague.com/amber.html
She's a real sweetie, and adorable as hell. Changing her name, though. I work with an Amber, and wouldn't want to insult the dog by calling her that.
Will get more pics up in the gallery when I get them off my camera.
