on a side note, i got called out this weekend to restore service on a data circuit. was a signalling circuit for CN rail. if this circuit is down, the trains do NOT run
turns out it was mice in the pedestal
10 more dead mice, and 10 hours of fixing later, trains can run again
seriously, fuck mice
